My car has a passenger, CRX driver is by himself, from a 50 mph roll. You can hear my clutch eating itself at the end of the video yayyyyy!

I was almost out of gear, had I stayed in it another second or so. I let off and then hit the brakes. I would expect him to pull top end, its a go kart with 415 hp haha.

Good race! That Honda is making alot of torque for the power.

Nice run, and I feel sorry for your clutch. Usually takes hondas a bit to pass an N/A car with a good amount of power, but it did look like he was coming around you pretty quick at th end.

I have a spec stage 3 as well. It is brand new, 2800 miles. Properly broken in. No track passes, no burnouts etc and all the springs blew out of it just like my old spec 3. I was assured time and time again that the new clutch was "revised" and wouldn't have this issue. Oh well who doesn't love to just **** money away. Time for something different.

My stage 3+ randomly slipped on occassion when I was turbo.. I don't think ill ever buy that brand again honestly.

Anyways - That CRX is MOVIN! You going to rematch once u get a new clutch? What kind of power are you making with the H/C/I?

I haven't had good experiences with Spec clutches either, but I also had hydraulic issues, so who knows. I do know that their customer service was terrible and the people I talked to were not friendly at all. No attempt was made to help me trouble shoot the problem. Their response was always, to tell me I installed it wrong and that I needed to buy a new one.

My current Monster Level 3 with Tick master has been great so far.

On the mustang forums they complain a lot about spec clutches as well. Few guys swear by them for the spec 3 but most have them. Have had to many issues.

You shouldn't let them brake boost.. I am a douche about that. They should have to suffer their boost lag when running a N/A car

If there's money on the line or something then I guess it's something that would have to be negotiated. In a friendly race, why not do one each way? I'm always curious to see the difference it makes with different cars.

I agree about the brake boosting thing. I mean come on, get a proper setup that can run when you hit the damn go pedal. Feel the same way about guys with nitrous: "Wait, lets run again after I go to my trunk and open my bottle and then purge it". Or the race gas guys: "You don't want to run me on race gas. I'll meet you back here in 2 hours so I can go put $100 in race gas in my tank which will be just enough to get back here and race you before I run out of gas."

RUN WHAT THE HELL YOU BRUNG, IMMEDIATELY, AND SAVE THE EXCUSES!!

It's also why I completely threw out the idea of buying a friggin M5. Having to manually select full friggin power every time you want to run is total and complete bullshit. Let ME decide if I want less then full friggin power BMW!! Give me a "my wife is driving and she's got the Eagles blaring on the stereo and starting to drive like she's on crack so I only need to slyly press this button to slow her down" button instead.

Brake boosting is how you drive the car not something you prep the car for before hand. Its like telling someone to start in the wrong gear or just punching it without honking it off because you know they'll be faster then you if they are ready. Or telling a road racer he cant heel toe because each foot should only control one pedal.

Ridiculous
