Thanks hugger, that was the trade off when we bought the Si, we liked it's looks the best, but it's a freakin turd in the quarter. I need a turbo kit.

I think there's been a bunch in the 14's stock and possibly high 13's with full NA boltons and tune.

Not at 6700-6800ft, I know what you mean though, I have seen a few stock ones get 14.9.

what an awesome read. how it should be done.
If i had a motor swapped, bolt-on anything, and was still running 15+ seconds..i'd leave the car at the track and go put on big boy pants

cute kid and up for the hot wife.

I always laughed at the morons at the track with motor-swapped Civics running slower times than my stock Integra... launching at 6,000rpm and dumping the clutch, pulling 2.6 60' times

Yeah it doesn't make sense. Seems like they should just buy a high mileage 98' up auto Z28 for $5,000ish and throw on DR's and a stall and run 12's

Some people don't like F-bodies, and some people can't stand automatics (I'm one of the latter). A lot of people obviously aren't going for the "bang for the buck," or they would do a bit more research and at least put worthwhile parts on their cars.
