Thanks guys..I will be taking it to the track Saturday July 9th. San Antonio Raceway's midnight madness.
I don't care its a mustang or a import. Win/lose. They want some and it is safe to run ie no traffic then bring it. Worse thing can happen is I lose and go back do more mods..lol

damn bro..thats got to be the cleanest and meanest looking 5.0 i have seen....i have a couple vids up on my youtube page of me beating them...not by much mind you..they always seem to stay only a few car lenghts back behind me and i'm running a procharger with other mods lol...just type in ilovechevy1 on youtube and go to my channel if you'd like to see how well lightly modded 5.0's do against a procharged SS..it's surprisignly not that bad lol...i usually beat GT500's worse than the 5.0's thats the crazy part

got a walkaround vid? All these yahoos are talking out there behinds about your car and all they've seen is a couple pics of no doubt the perfect angles. Let's see a walkaround vid and THEN us smarter then average guys can give you our takes on it.

I like that look Ohio, more from the lower view than the higher. Hood looks gargantuan on an otherwise fairly small car... Sure seems to run well.
Seems weird reading some comments about people being surprised Mustangs race each other... Any of you ever been to an NMRA race? When talking stock, they're okay, but c'mon folks... Mustangs have been seriously haulin' *** for 2 decades now.
Just today, some guy told me he wanted to go fast in his Ford(pickup) so he was putting a 350(sbc) in it... Some people are WAY behind the curve, I know. All I could think to tell him is, "If ya like 2nd place at the track, go right on with that plan." He honestly thought I was crazy for saying that and told me his 350 powered S-10 could beat anything in town, if only it got traction. Coincidentally, he no longer has it.... Right there with us was another guy, who has a 13 second Sentra SE-R... Even he laughed at the notion. Anyway, quick Mustangs are hardly new in America. That's all there is to it.

yeah no ****. every trip to the track has us GM guys outnumbered in every category under the 12 second mark. It always amazes the ford and dodge guys that GM is so under represented at racetracks considering how many Fbodies were sold. Part of it is that alot of guys who own decently modded fbodies dont want to take them to the track and get beat by a car that traps lower but hooks harder, the other half I don't know? Maybe they were fast enough stock and near stock that they didnt see the point to heavily mod them? Where the mustang guys had a pile of steaming you know what under the hood from the factory so they modded the hell out of it?
No doubt, more Mustangs are (drag) raced than basically anything. They weren't necessarily much to start, but the mods list seems endless where other cars seem to(though it's not really true) be more expensive to reach the same performance level. Mustangs have enjoyed having a good drag racing design for most of the time, where others need more help. Those "little things" sometimes cause people to hold back. Even the 4.6L Mustang has been seriously pushed and still today, people either wonder how it gets so much from so little, or simply don't believe it to be true.
Makes me think of those little critters on my nephews HALO game... "There EVERYWHERE!!" With some 9 million sold, Mustangs are more than simply "common" on race tracks.
