OP good kill. I would expect you to walk away pretty fast. I know My self racing a stock 5.0 was ugly. Guy didn't know what hit him. Same thing as yoru race. He probably thinking what the hell.

You miss understood what I said. Although I did word it kinda weird. He said he raced them both and than said he put a car on it by 100. The new v6 mustang runs like a 13.8 or so stock and the camaro a 14.3. Thats why I said he should have beat the camaro bad, but than I said actually he should be putting alot more on a v6 mustang than 1 car by 100

Ah ok. Ya they raced the 2011 V6 against the 2010 GT and the GT only won by a car.

They make full bolt ons for the V6 now plus a Procharger.

Yea scary how close the v6 cars are getting to the v8. Im guessing in a few years the v6 will be replacing the v8 in our muscle cars because of the way the average gas mpg has to go up. I prey it doesn't, but it is looking that way more and more

I know there are rumors of a V6 TT GT500/Vette and who knows what else.

Wife works at a huge Chevy dealer and her District manager came in talking about how they looking at a V6 TT setup for the vette.

That would be a very sad day for me.... I really don't think people would buy it. It's not what muscle cars are about.. And why us muscle car guys have been buying these car is for big displacement, mean sound, and cheap ugrades.

Ya she was saying the guys was telling them it will rev to the moon. That they want to draw in M3/M6/AMG/ferrari/Lambo owners. That it will make like 500hp with that setup. This is what he was telling them for the C7.


I agree nothing sounds like a V8. I want a Z06 or GT500 next. Can't decide which one. They both are sexy cars. Least I think.

So the stock c7 would make 500hp and soo they would have to make the z06 like 600 and the zr1 over 700 lol. I wouldn't mind if they made a smaller v8 and turbo'd it, but v6 will just kill my love for the vette forever... I think I would just look at it sitting with it's twin turbo's and look at it like it was a turbo import

i heard some crap about the new vette was gonna be a hybrid or hybird lol whatever they call it,that maybe more down the line though, thats the way i see things going v6s,,type of fi,cleaner emissions,better mpg.all the crap i could care less about ,if its not a v8 i will not buy it lol,op good kill

The c7 will not be any type of hybrid, mid-engined or twin turboed car, gm has already announced none of those rumors are true and its published over on corvette forum. GM just invested 890 million bucks into new ls engine facilities around the country planning for the next gen of ls engines in their cars so the chances of them just throwing that away are slim.

What will be in the c7 is a new 5.5 liter ls5 with direct injection. It is already being tested in the c6r race car that recently just won its class in lemans, so it looks to be doing rather well. It's expected to make around 440hp rev pretty high and targets 35mpg on the hwy with the direct injection. The future of the ls v8 looks bright.

True I raced an Enzo ferrari on the street one time from a 50 roll and he put 3 cars on me by 65 and than by 100 had about 8 car lengths on me, but than a unicorn jumped out from a magical rainbow with a lepricon on it's back, the Enzo hit the lepricon/unicorn causing the Enzo to flip out of control over and over. Needless to say I ended coming around on the big end and put about 2 cars on the Enzo by 120 . The guy in the Enzo lived, but ended up getting charged with vehicular homicide and is now spending 10-20 years in prison.....
