He just put the 28" MT's up for sale because picked up some 26" Mickeys so he could get some of that gear back, rematch coming soon.

Hey, you know what they say about Lemons. If God gives you Lemons, you find a new God!

Was some good runs though. Been a while since I have actually watched some runs in this section with two decent cars.

Well thanks, they should be headed for a rematch like I said. I'm interested to see how much difference the tire makes. I think equal passenger will even the gear out though (LS1 had 1 extra in this race). Hopefully more coming soon, it's gonna be 79* Thursday so the local meet should be huge.

don't think tires will make much of a difference in that race...

I think once the passengers are evened out it'll turn out the exact same. With passengers the same as it was in this, maybe cut half a car off, but we'll see.

Passenger makes more of a difference than most believe, especially if they are 180+.

Agreed, I've been involved in races where changing the passenger determines the outcome. Passengers were about 350 total in the LS1; 1 passenger in the LT1 weighing maybe 175?

You could have a midget driving the LT1 and 3 passengers in the LS1. As long as the LT1 has those shitty stock heads, it will lose. A 170cc head that flows 205

Compare that to the LS1s 200cc that flows 250.

Thankfully the LT1 guys have not been forgotten as there are a handful of very good companies that still provide aftermarket heads or even stout ported factory castings

IIRC correctly, his heads were ported by someone good (just what I've been told). If you could see both dyno graphs overlaid, you'd see the outcome easy. I just found a picture of the LT1's from when it had the 3spd, and I drew in the LS1's HP curve, but can't remember what the torque looked like. As I said before, the LS1's converter flashed to 5100 when you mash it, so I just drew that part in. Peak torque is 20ft-lb lower in the LT1 as well.

**edit:I hadn't seen this dyno sheet before, but I just noticed it was in STD...
