Love the styling and engineering of the BMW's; just don't want the high up keep that comes with them.

I have been really interested in a BMW as a DD lately. 135i looks more like me but a nice 335i coupe, or 335xi sedan would probably be more practical

That was just one of several runs. On this one, I had the better start, and this was just the one that I happened to catch on video. Being a supercharged V8 with a manual, against a automatic trans on fully automatic shifting, my start is somewhat delayed anyways. I would probably brake boost and manually shift if I were going to let him get the jump.

Here is a picture of the coupe in the 60-130 video, that trapped over 132mph.

I wish I knew them, then I could race them in my diesel 335i. Actually it only runs 12.9, but if they don't know how to launch, i might give them a run through most of the qtr mile. (see my 335d video. 4.5 sec 0-60, 12.9, second gear launch also).

As far as this car, I'm upset I haven't run 10's yet. Without LSD, I need a well prepped track, good tires, and good DA. Unfortunately, no track like that within 400 miles of where I live.

Car looks very clean and performance is quite impressive. Just wish I did not want so many toys like a boat and camper first (need a truck or Tahoe for those puppies)

If I were buying another one, is any year model better than another for reliability? Any way to minimize getting a lemon the time? I had dual cones on it and was going to go JB3, but it was so unreliable, we just traded it in before warranty was out in an effor to cut our losses. Your right, it handled great, seats were the best I've sat in, quiet, good mpg...but I just couldnt get passed the reliability...then if something did break....the cost to fix it well exceeds a GM product...would have loved to have swapped an LS3 in it (say good bye to being a sleeper), but man what fun that would be to open the cutouts on a cammed ls3 335i at a stoplight.

If you want a good reliable bmw e46 is the only way to go. They break to but its not as expensive. Crank case vent valve fuel pumps, altenators and axles if its an xi is thier only downfall vs the newer issues dme updates software issues trans, head bolts that break for no reason and **** oil. 06 and up bmws suck

Yeah no doubt that they aren't the most reliable car ever, but they have made better fuel pumps(recall) in the last year and have issued a recall on faulty injectors. Ever since they did that they seem to be much more reliable. Ive been driing mine tuned for about 25k miles and haven't had nearly as many issues as Others have. Luck of the draw i suppose.
