CORVETTE ZR1 vs. LINGENFELTER G8
Got the opportunity to tag along with a couple of buddies to race their cars. The G8 is gunning for the the title of world's fastest G8. I do believe he'll achieve that soon

Not impressed at all by the ZR1 or should i say its driver. IMO the G8 is pretty weak considering the mods, and 10.7 being the WORLD RECORD is just pathetic. We have magnums with stock motors running those time and had a challenger with stock motor run 10.3's...im just sayin

Actually it IS impressive when you consider that the 4400lb G8 GXP is the guys daily driver.
Incidentally he was running those times on the stock LS3 shortblock when he popped it. The 418 was out of necessity to get another shortblock in there ASAP and that's what his shop had in stock ready to go in with the least amount of down time.
Trust me when I say, he's no where near tapped out...

Then why doesnt he own world record title...im not bashing. Im just a little disappointed. I just assumed that the G8's were atleast in the 9's. They have no reason not to be. So best of luck to the guy with the G8, tell him max out that maggie and throw a lil nitrous on there and blow the record out the water.

Well sometimes other significant members of the family take exception to dropping lots of coin on a car in a hurry due to breakage - the OEM short block died about 3 - 4 months ago. I know my significant other would go ape **** bonkers if I popped my LS1...
