His car should go mid 13's in the 1/4, and I pretty sure from a dig an average driver in a Coyote could do the same. I think it could be a good race.

I search for 5.0's to race out here all the time. I cant find one, except the one on the freeway, and I was out on him until I went into 5th gear. I am pretty sure I could get one from a dig. I want to race a GTO but I cant find one. Maybe I should put up a post on Mustangforums and ask a 5.0 to race me, hell if anyone knows of a GTO or 5.0 in the PHX Metro Area I would love to run them.
you realize the 5.0 doesn't have 300hp right. Its is 412hp.

The average driver in a 5.0 should run high 12's. Bad driver will be in the 13's. Even with your mods if the 5.0 can drive it you will get dusted. Don't let him have any mods then you are really in trouble.

That guy in the altima didn't beat any 6.0 gto unless he was spraying at least a 100 shot, plus bolts ons and tune. I know because I have an altima and I raced my friends ls1 gto, I wouldve needed a lot more power just to stop his pull.

OP ran a similiar 1/8 as my cobalt.....and i tore up an ls1 goat....if his 1/4 trap freight-trains up to a 106+ like me, then he can pull a ls1 goat.

A cobalt ss/tc is no where near comparable to an altima. An altima WILL NOT trap 106+ on motor only.

I am pretty sure his Altima will trap 104ish. It is not a stock Altima. That is why it gets me out of the hole, and I have to depend on my MPH on the top end.

Yeah they put out about 370 to the ground. Stock. There was a mustang club at Irwindale they were running mid 8's in the 1/8. Not everyone can drive a new 5.0 into the 12's on street tires (not drag radials) on the street. My car might put out 310 to the rear wheels, and I will give a stock 5.0 a run and possibly beat him with 60 to 80 less hp. I will post on Mustangforums and ask someone to run me at the track or on the street. I will then post it up here. I have nothing to lose. I like the new 5.0's. I will even ask any reasonably modded f-body or GTO in the PHX Metro area to run. I don't swing from the nuts of the LS based flatforms, I drive what I like, and really don't have a brand loyalty.

Moral of the story:

If I beat a 5.0 by 4 on the street, then my buddy knows he can run with one on the street. Simple as that.

Bet that Altima gives your Mach 1 all it can handle.

Sweet my buddy will be in town tonight and tomorrow. I am down to run your buddy anytime anyplace here in the metro area. I am heading out to the car show at The Scottsdale Pavilions tonight around 9 o'clock and I will see if he want to tag along.

Ahahaha!! Remember, I'm not against the altima, I own an SER and I wish I could say I could run with a GTO, but it's not gonna happen. FYI, you might want to know a few more details about my Mach before you bring it into the conversation like that which is has nothing to do with because it will just make you look bad.

Bolt on 3.5L Altima used to pull on all the LT1s around here a few years ago. Pretty quick for a 4 door family car.

The whole point was, I finally have something that beat him in a race. He has told me for years, I will never own anything that will be him. So basically I can beat his family car, and get raped by his street car.
I only asked because you called it a 6.0 GTO instead of an LS2 GTO.

BTW, I know people that have been "street racing" for years and they know diddly about cars.
Just saying.

See, comments like this and calling an LS2 GTO a 6.0 lead me to believe you don't know much about many different car makes.
I mean, just a month ago you thought LS1s could be chipped.

You will easily lose if the mustang owner can drive his car even half decently.

If you race the one guy whiteknight raced you might win. Vut a good driver is going to leave you sitting. Walk so fast its retarded. Only real chance you have is a auto. And to let you know I know plenty of 5.0's that have went high 7's bone stock in the 1/8. Next who only races the 1/8th

Also what do you consider reasonably modded.

Does he run skinnies on the back?

And for everyone else in this thread, you have to see that a lid & cat back ls1 NEVER loses, no matter the competition. Don't you remember Mystic? He was *** raping c6z's with his!

I asked, never said I thought they could chipped question because I used to run a fox body 5.0. I have known my enemy for along time. I am used to carbed cars or stand alone computer systems. I am going to get HP tuners, learn it, and "reflash" my tune when I get the chance. If you get a stand alone like the Anderson PMS/Fast system you can real time tune your car.

It is one of the most ignorant things I have ever seen on this sight. I never said nothing can beat my LS1, and from what I have seen at the track with a new 5.0 mustang there ET is not far off from my friends.

I am searching to run either. If I get beat by a "LS2" GTO, or a new 5.0 it is all fun and games for me.

If I beat them both, I beat them both. If I lose, I lose. I am not losing any money or sleep. One thing I have learned in street racing is, "Nothing is what it seems on the street".

Once again another couple of dumbass comments. Stock tires on a 240 Z tread patch is about 6 inches.

And my cat back, lidded LS1 has already lost to a 5.0 on the freeway. Could really care less about Mystic, at least I am willing to run whatever, film it, and have fun.

Hopefully one day and many mods later, I can run a C6Z and hold my own, right now............*** kicking city.
