Mach 1 vs LS1 M6 Fbody

Mach 1 vs LS1 M6 Fbody Well coming home from work I'm always looking for a run. It was nice and crisp outside. I was cruising at 40mph and see some HIDs in my mirror and then notice some halos. 
I thought it was a BMW but the car flew up on me and I saw the catfish headlights. OHHHH HELL, ITS ON! He got along side me and stayed there. I looked over but he wouldn't look over. Was a young kid with glasses and what looked to be a mustache that was barely coming through. (first thing that came to mind was JU1CE) He them went alittle ahead and I noticed what looked like 2.25" tips and no muffler. Well the light caught us and he finally looked over. I said "Is that a V8?" and he just said "YUP".
The the light turned green and he took off. I followed (he only had like a nose on me) but I knew it wasn't going to be good with these God awful tires!!!! He hit 2nd before me so I'm guessing he had gears. Anyways I hit 2nd and went sideways all through it
He pulled a solid car on me and kept pulling.
Well I wanted 2nds and he did too.
We lined up close to 40mph, me in 2nd and him in IDK. I honked it off and on the 3rd we both left at the same time, it was a perfect start. We were pretty close with him inching ahead. I hit 3rd and again went sideways 
while he pulled half a car. He shifted and I pulled back some but after he went into 4th (before me 
) he did start a decent pull. At 110mph I would say he had a car on me. If I had traction I would say it would have been half a car.
Point was made and I tried to get his attention to pull over and chat but he didn't care to.
I will say I didn't enjoy that ****, kinda stung.

Good loss OP, dont be disappointed loosing to a LS car is perfectly normal, JK. Close race either way im sure he had a few mods himself since you mentioned he had no muffler.
Do you mean I need something like Billet gears or what?

Well I'm sure lid, isn't that like the first mod for LS1s? He also had black wheels with chrome lip I think. Obviously exhaust but looked like some pos back yard muffler shop job. The car was actually very quiet and car had no emblems so I thought it was a V6. It was dark and the car was black but it looked to have SS spoiler and SS hood but I can't be for sure. Also he was shifting before me, so maybe 4.10s? I honestly have no idea. I couldn't hear his car over mine though.
And yes, I was in the Mach 1.
Wish I hadn't been though.

Good death...I thought modded mach's were faster that stock ls1's 
. Sounds like he was short shifting. Since you bot have 4.10's and your trans is geared a little lower...but the the mach probally turns a little more rpm, so it should have been close on shifting.

. You better be careful with that 330 ft lbs and shifting like a badass into 3rd with the 225 rear tire you must have on the back.
