I don't have a preference between LT1 WS6 or SS, but I would probably go WS6 just to get something other than a Camaro. My brother had an LT1 T/A and I loved that car.

Nice kill, 2v mustangs aren't much to put up with. A LT1 wouldn't have much trouble killing a 2v.

The vast majority of LT1s are a driver's race with a '99-'04 GT 5spd. If the GT is an automatic, the LT1 has the advantage.

I agree. But I kind of have a bias of TA's over Camaro. I'm still pissed the owner of my car ruined 4 perfectly clean genuine ws6 rims and powdercoated them black!

However, he did fix a lot of the small problems I never had time to do. I think I'm just envious lol

Why would you powder coat the WS6 rims. I would flap a fool. But I'm gonna have to say in response to being Bia's on TA's vs Camaro's. With 4th gen I've always been Firebird over Camaro since they came out when I was a kid. Not being bias.

I think the hatchbacks look worlds nicer.

Are the notches really lighter or is it just a misconception? That's the only reasoning I've ever heard for a notch over a hatch.

They are lighter although some people like the hatch cars for the reason that the extra weight is in the *** over the rear axle.

A most excellent kill.

I'll have to figure out which ones are the "2v" variety. I remember when I first bought my Integra in 98 one of the first street races I ever got into was against a 98 Mustang GT 5-spd. He said he just installed headers. I just had a cat-back exhaust. It was one of those street races where you actually stop on an empty road in front of a full parking lot of other car people. Some hot girl drops her arms and you drop the hammer. I beat the Mustang that night, and it was glorious lol. I remember thinking it was curious that my stock, quiet 1.8L 4-cyl beat his LOUD RWD V8.

My '94 GS-R ruined the day of quite a few '94-'98 GT owners. A "2V" is any '96-'04 Mustang GT, btw.

My brother's bone stock GS-R was able to pull on 96-98 GTs so that's no surprise. The 99-04s smashed it though. He ended up with an LT1 T/A auto after the GS-R and it was always a dead heat with 5 speed 99-04 GTs.

The early 4.6 2v cars were pretty slow, but I encountered one maybe a year or two after I bought my car that was a convertible 5 speed 96-98. He had just finished dyno tuning it for the supercharger he put on. It was a Vortech and it made around 360 rwhp if I recall correctly. It was a nice looking car with a roll bar and all that but he didn't want to run because he said he was working out some of the bugs. Would've been curious to see how it ran against mine as I'm sure mine was quite a bit lighter.

Friend of mine just sold his hatch, I would really like to find a clean one. His was stock block, built bottom end, h/c/i/e, and a 4.10 gear. It made 325 to the wheels. Ran 12.1 @ 113, I miss it already.

Its also fun to joke about how reliable and consistent a 4g63 can be when you put an auto behind it and make it RWD; basically remove the DSM around the 4g63 lol
