It would have been classic. Video rolling and you can hear a little boy in the background "Look mommy!! That Camaro just broke down because that Mustang yanked him so bad off the start!!"

I can see it happening lol. I have one more bet out, if hios can go 10.xx on his ten bolt this sat. I have to buy him dinner. But I think my chances are good with that one. Last 2 times at track when he hooks it it eats an axle. And +1 on your mach being more fun than your fast car. Way more cars to run in the 12s bracket!

I can tell you or anyone, driving around a 600rwhp isn't that fun IMO. Yea you get to brag about your nuts being huge but there aren't a lot of cars you can run into. And you ALWAYS run into the kids with the 270rwhp cars picking up the phone and calling a buddy that comes out with his car on a trailer. Been there done that... I like being slow

That last run was just you earning your doors back from the last time I cut them off on the street. You can hold onto those nice white doors for me but I plan on hanging them in my garage next time out.

Had a run with a silver 392 Chally yesterday night at Irwindale, he ran an 8.14@89 to my 8.47@85, an hour later after cool down, same car ran 7.87@90.
Do they make them in Auto's ? this particular one was auto. i don't know if it was modded or not, but Niterider was saying there is no tune for this cars yet.
There was a 2nd 392 as well, i'm not a fan of orange cars, but this was one was nice, both cars had stickers everywhere in their back windows, and both had aftermarket wheels, (i think they were 20's or bigger, but the orange one had ones that i guess mimic the poverty rims from back then, but in a modern style), the orange one kept running 8.4's
Both cars were on conventional tires like mine, so i don't know why the silver was ripping azz, assuming it was stock. the silver was louder than the orange so i guess at least a CB was present in the car.
Stock 5.0's were running anywhere between 8.5' to 8.3's on street tires as well.
New Camaro's, 8.9 to 9.1's, also on street tires. i raced one of them, black SS with full exhaust, M6, super loud car, guy kept revving his engine everytime until we raced, he ran 9's all night no matter what he tried.
I know there is potential in the Camaro's, but geez, we were all running street tires and everyone was pretty much at 8.4 or faster, except from the newest offer from GM wich kept running 8.9's and higher.
I think i'll be trading the G8 for a used 5.0, i don't see myself slowing down in a new camaro and loosing 2 doors in the intent, if anything, i want to run faster with minimal mods
, and definetely the stang would help accomplish that goal.
