Sepno the gear calculater is a little off. I'm running the same height tire and was maxxed out at 122.xx mph @ 6800 when I had 4.10's. You might want to throw 3.90's into your choice list.

So you must be around 112mph with a stock height tire @ stock rpm with not much runnout left. The gear only helps getting you moveing. With a 10bolt you can really never utilize the gear, because the 10bolt will break.

i trapped 116 on a 275/50/15's

i had 373 in the 10 bolt
410 in the spooled 9in

my vote goes for 433 if he's getting a 9". what is the gearing difference in the trans he has vs a t56 that comes in an fbody?

and why are you guys trying to run a stock cam car out to 6500? to avoid shifting? i wouldn't trust those stock valvesprings on my lawn mower at that rpm.

4.33 would only work if he had a 28" tire. I try to keep my street and drag set-up as close as possible....sometimes it's the exact same. When you go with enough gear like your talking then his street set-up would be **** unless he rode around on a 28" drag tire all the time. You know all that gear takes power to turn.

If any thing it was heavier than the last time I ran it. I had 3/4 tank of gas. Should've been about 3200 race weight....my aero mods are starting to come into balance I guess.

I ran less mph in the 1/8 today than usual but more in the 1/4.....and I dunno why. I did do a couple more aero mods but nothing that should've made that much difference....good air? maybe. More gas in it ?? 3/4 tank . Sometimes I can't make heads or tails of why it does what it does. All I know is what it does.
