I would love to hear how the Corvette is in the sane class as the Camaro/Mustang/Challenger. This kid sure does say some...interesting stuff.

The Corvette is not a pony car. Comparing the Corvette to a pony car is apples to oranges, but it is probably flattering to the pony car that people do.
I know they are pony cars. Pony car is motor head slang nonetheless and the correct categorized name is sports car. As much as it may hurt to say.

That's the only reason it outruns the new camaro's in the 1/4. The new 5th gens outpower the 5.0s but the power-weight is worse... Damn the IRS!

Categorized by whom? You realize that "pony car" has been used to describe all three cars for the entirety of their existence, right? Only wishful thinkers and insurance companies even consider calling them "sports cars." Which is also how the insurance company categorized my old '94 Integra.

This kid?

Go search to buy a car and tell me if you find anything under the pony car section.

I'll say it one more time for the slow ones.

They are all under the sports car category. Then it splits up into sports-two doors (mustangs), high performance (corvette), and exotic.

Wanna compare the current gt500 to current ctsv coupe?

The boss is in the same price/performance range as the srt8 vehicles.

So... A 1994 V6 Mustang is a "sports car?" Right.

Motorhead slang? Hardly.

Your opinion does not constitute fact.

I'll dumb it down for you. Comparing a 2+2 to a 2 seat car is apples to oranges.

Now was that hard to figure out?

I dont think you want to make that comparison. The Boss is 3k less and makes the SRT8 look silly.

The mustang platform is labled under sports car, so yes. It is the facts.

It's not? Please, point me in the direction that I can search for a car under the pony car category when I buy my next vehicle.

It hurts your feelings that they are categorized the same, and a base c6 vette out performs the gt500 and can be had for the same price.

3k is not within range of the srt8?

No, it makes much more sense to compare it to the car with a 8k markup minimum and has 100 plus extra horsepower.

I'll humor you and compare it to the boss. Struggling to find bone stock times but here's a boss stock with radials.

Just because cars.com doesn't have a pony car category doesn't mean they don't exist. What ever makes you sleep at night though. As far as comparing it to the GT500 its much much much less of a stretch than you all trying to compare it to the GT which starts at 30k vs 44k.
