Just for clarification, what kind of race was it? And do you know the details of your buddy's car? I'm just trying to squash the inevitable ensuing argument.

Based on his numbers it would be a very close drag race with a well driven Mach 1 with only a few bolt ons.

What has the fastest e/t and trap speed for a bone stock 5.0 down to the tire that anyone knows of?

My buddy's car is a base-model 6-spd Manual, cloth & spoiler delete; bout as light as its going to get for a GT. Only mod is FRP 3.73 gears (stock was 3.31:1 I believe). That car goes consistent 12.70/80s which is right on par with the quickest times you'll see a GT run out here.

I beat him both dig and roll.

12.2x @ 114mph, IIRC.

For sure But he goes through the traps and turns on his heated seats and puts his cup of hot chocolate in his heated cup holder that he was sipping on while his navigation system notifies him to make a right turn to get on the return road. All this after he just completed a 12.5 @113 pass.

That you have seen/heard of. Is your track consistently 3-5 tenths slower than other tracks at similar elevation?

12.2 on a stock tire, and 114 at stock power and weight?

Wow a time slip or video of this?

My friend drives the **** out of his and can't get better than high 12's @109.

is your friend. Most really good runs that I have heard of have been 12.4-12.6 @ 110-112mph. I don't doubt that with everything else being equal the SRT 392 has an advantage up top, but from a dig it is closer than some would expect you to believe.

I looked at video's before and never saw a stock tire car go 12.2 @114.

Why do I have to go search for vids. You made the claim and I asked for proof. Show it to me.

Outside of the internet, you would find your friend is not alone. In the real world, cars aren't always running a tenth or two off the record time for whatever car it may be, nor are the averages as high as some claim.

I didn't make some outrageous claim. You asked the fastest time that we knew of, and I told you the fastest that I had heard of. If you would like to see a video or slip, look for yourself.

I agree, I haven't seen any low 12 5.0's and I'm at Infineon pretty consistently. The majority that I see are mid-high 12's, more being high 12's. **** one guy is out there every week running low 13's lmao. I'm not saying they haven't ran the claimed times, but every car/driver isn't perfect.

One problem is, people don't understand the effect of DA and track conditions. Now when somebody conveniently gives you the DA of a run in their signature, it allows you to make better comparisons. Also, like with any car, you need to be able to shift quickly at the correct RPM. Which i'm sure the vast majority of people with these new cars don't do. We've all seen them

I asked for a bone stock down to the tire 1/4 mile run that anyone has herd of. You boldly claimed 12.2 @ 114. That sounds outrageous to me. Now I ask where is your proof?
