So my actual real world experience holds no leverage, but you're on here talking about Google? You're kidding me? Damn Google Racers

So you said you "heard" this stuff right..

I understand that, honestly what is the best mph you have seen out of a stone stock 5.0?

It's a slower car than the ones in question, but the point is still valid; back when I had my Integra, most people couldn't run any quicker than 15.3 or so, in any conditions, at any track in a stock GS-R. My very first run down the 1/4 mile was a 14.97 @ 93.82mph, and all I had was a different muffler. 152k miles. My car wasn't any stronger than any other GS-R, but I knew how to drive it to its fullest potential.

You act like we aren't on the internet RIGHT NOW. This discussion would show up in a Google search. And of course your personal experience holds leverage, but you also have to consider what other people have experienced.

Here's a vid I dug up from the track a few months ago. 2011 5.0, on tires. Car is an auto, not sure about gearing. No low 12's @ 114mph here!

DA was around 1000ft

LT/LS guy's car run in the mill pass is only 2 tenths and 1mph slower completely stock.

Is this the vid you got those numbers from?

Merry Christmas. And if memory serves me correctly, a MAGAZINE ran a 12.4 or 12.5 in a stock manual.

And the upcoming Audi S8 does that while seating 5, having a massive body, utilizing a twin turbo V8 and AWD and STILL weighs less (just under 4400lbs) than the over-weight SRT8. The Challenger's features are NO excuse for how heavy that thing is.

And let's not kid ourselves. This interior isn't exactly amazing:

Good thing I'm not some 65 year old man thinking back to "them days when I cruised around in my Hemi quad four with a double stacker tripple decker", need to heat my *** hemroids, wash down my viagra with some hot chocolate, and need navigation to make it home because of my altimers.

No. And y'all are acting like I said Mustangs were faster...all I said was that they are very close.

Wanted life to slow down for you? I love the look on the Mopar owners when the white GT with a black hood scoop and stripe walks the dog on them. I'm afraid to tell them whats done to the car...well rather, what's NOT done to the car. They might have a heart attack.

Just throw some gas into the fire, here is one at our local track. No crazy high/low elevation here.

I'm sure anybody can cut some killer 1.6 short times on those badass 235-50-18 p-zero's that they come with.

That was Evan Smith & MM&FF you're speaking of and he went 12.6 actually, and we know how talented a driver he is. All the other mags got high 12's/bottom 13's out of them.

i see. at 650DA, car(x) will run slower at your track than at any other track with the exact same traction, driver, car, engine temps, tire temps, clutch slip, etc.

that makes perfect sense to me.

there is ZERO chance you missed a pass by ANYONE with ANY other car. i take your words as gospel.

please continue your absolutisms sir.

you know i was just picking at you. your time seems very good. your driving that time seems to be very good also. i just had to get the discusion 'I' was after. sorry man.

Also...i fully believe your car will pull slowly on a stock 2011GT. CARS? not against MY driving, maybe against your buddy. but if i was stock you would win no doubt.

What's this?? Rational people posting up real times about the 5.0?? Has ohio's head exploded and he is unable to actually educate us? I have a vid on my phone of a 5.0 running 13.3's at my local track. Best I have witnessed around here is a 12.7, fast for a stock car but not the low 12's people claim. (Notice all mustang nut swingers, I did not mention the 5th gen once in any of my posts ).
