Stock for stock, tire for tire, and trans for trans I'd think a 2010 camaro is going to be faster than a ws6/ss forth gen. Just sayin.

On the real I only have 1 video of me racing someone and it was a 4th Gen making 330whp... we were pretty even other then these races when I pulled him a little... my car runs strong for being stock other than my muffler delete as I should be at around the same whp as the 4th gen but heavier...

i think they'd be within 2 mph of each other giving the victory to the 5th gen. stock cars can vary that much so it's hard to get a good reading. i haven't found a stockish 5g (haha) that i'd call impressive, but i know that's because i haven't ran into one. i know they exist.

and why only an ss/ws6? the z28s and regular tas run the same. the only cars i've seen i'd call freaks were not ss or ws6, but plain jane z28s. in my experience, for some reason, the pontiacs never really fell into this category. i feel mine is an exception, but it's the only one that i know of. i do know that it weighs 75lbs more than my all option 2000 a4 z28 did. not real sure why that is.

Your car weighs just as much as a 5th gen, and has less power... Although I could believe it, most 5th gen drivers are total noobs and drive worth ****! Props on the caddy though, I almost got one myself! Freaking nice cars, put a cam in that thing and it's gonna scare some people

Dont the base models(the lightest ones) are 400 more. He runs 12.6 with intake and lt and i run 12.9 on bald tires that spin til 2nd gear 5500 rpms. With my kooks lt and true duals. I could run a 12.5... Then a intake is icing on the cake.

Listen up noob, its no secret that the 5th Gen auto's untuned are dog slow so stop tryin to act like your car is the end all beat all. I did edge out the SS M6 by a fender btw.. I've been here long enough for the regs to take my word for what it is... the M6 SS are a very close race for the V1's as we trap anywere between 107 and 110mph stock... Yes, the camaro is a MUCH better platform for modding then my V1 is as the fastest V1s haven't even broke into the 10s yet... btw if your SS is auto and also stock then I or any other CTS-V1 would slaughter it. If your an M6 SS then it can go either direction with the advantage going to the SS..

Actually there are stock auto gen5's that run high 12's. The quickest ran a 12.59 stock on stock pirellis. Do you realize the autos and sticks run roughly the same 1/4 times out of the box?

This stuff goes on and on. Good driver in a 4th gen is low 13 and around 106-108, good driver in a 5th gen is high 12's around 109-111. A lot of B.S. being spewed by 5th haters on this board.

Get real, what you run and could run are 2 different things! I could run faster too, put my summer tires back on and get more seat time! I am by no means a great driver, my car has 12.4s with good driver! That don't mean **** till it happens, but next summer I will have a small cam because I don't give 2 ***** about breaking Bolton records or who does what, and ya I was talking about the caddy not your slow *** ****!

People can say all they want about the 5th gen, I love mine and its nice to be able to carry a conversation with the wife and kids without all the noise.

Sweet c5 you just said you are not a good driver hmmm. Didnt you just say most 5th gen drivers are noobs im hoping you were counting your self. If you want to race we can. I get a lot more respect then you will ever get. No one even looks or cares about 5th gens on the road. Most people who collect and race and appreciate cars dont even look at 5th gens. Most thats counting you dont know **** about cars and cant race. Not talking about the strip. A 12 year old can go in a straight line. If you want to tell if you can drive go run in the auto cross. Go do sharp turns. If your not a good driver in a straight line i would hate to see you do sharp corners. Once again another dumb *** 5 th gen owner.
