I know I'm not supposed to but: ws6 vs Carrera, porsche
So I'm Slowing down for a red light and see this carrera and I think nothing, I look over and see this really cocky guy look at me and lift his eye brow at me lol. I'm think WTF? Is this guy really thinking he has a fast car (acting cocky myself lol) he actually give me a little rev. Ok what ever I think to myself. We take off and he swerves through traffic and I slowly catch up and get next to him at a red light. Light turns green and I slowly take off as he floors it, I see that he floors it and I do too. He has a good car on me as I'm hitting the gas, I pass by him like he is standing still and leave him behind idk how many cars. First run with my new setup. The reason I say I shouldn't is because it's not tuned and it's not running how it's supposed to.

Really really depends on which year and model. Right now cars wise the slowest Porsche is the boxster, but with the 6spd it's still running 12's out the box with the PDK option running mid 12's. That's 2010 and later cars.
For the Carrera though all newer (996) are 13's and better capable. The newer 05+ 997's being capable of low 13's and better out the box. The Carrera S 997 is capable of mid 12's at 114 mph with the 6 spd.
Very believable kill if it was a 996 base carrera as most only run high 13's and are the most common 911's seen on the road next to the Carrera Cab and C4 996.

You raced a untuned MS3 cam AND 243 heads? lol Your engine must be pissed at u - good kill, i hate ppl like that.
I remember going by a 94 ish 5.0 when i had my LS/v turbo civic and he literally was giving me so many dirty looks and did a fly by. So i said screw that and went WOT and blew off at his window. He then backed off and stopped looking at me lol
Some ppl just need to be taken down a peg. Question is - did he turn off the road after he lost or catch up to give thumbs up? lol

Those 996 Carrerras are about equal to a stock ls1. I have an 02 ws6 and an 02 Carerra both have been to the drag strip. I let my friends drive the Porsche and I drove my TA he is a new to the drag strip driver but he out MPH the TA but I got the TA to hook better for a better ET. Both stock.

13.0 vs 13.5. Neither are particularly fast now a days though. Both are autos. In decent weather the 4S would make a worse drag race car than a plain old Carrera, same power but saddled with an unnecessary AWD system (for drag racing and their power levels anyways). My RWD 911 will dead hook in the poring rain if its warm enough where as my TA would be have no chance. I have always wanted to put an LS1 in the 911 though and have the best of both worlds. Although that isnt happening
