I like how you compare a Type r top of the line in honda world to a rs base *** camaro with cloth. And hondas feel like **** over 100mph. I got to ride in that green integra when it was at 400whp and it felt sketchy and ive been im my friends old hatch at 130 and it felt like its getting ready to fall apart. And all of them had a full interior. they may be fine for driving around town to the store and back but are sketchy as hell at higher speed

Sorry, but its not much different. SS to Type R
When you add 1000 lbs of course its gonna feel more stable at high speeds. But I disagree that its scary past 100mph. Bigger brakes, good suspension and nice tires go a long way.
I drove my buddies Z28 around and its a completely different experience. You really need to drive something like an Integra to appreciate how much better a lighter car feels. Everyone who has driven my car comes back saying how fun it was.
But I couldnt see myself ever driving a stripped hatch.

1) the teg ran a 140+ trap speed
2) there is about a 1000lb vehicle weight difference between the two. not counting an extra passenger in the m3.
i dont see how it performed shitty.
The f-body was loved for many things... its interior wasnt one of them. During that time Gm didnt do much for interiors back then in its vehicle classes.

well for the money the interior is good and the integra interior is nothing to be proud of. Lets compare that bmw to a vette with the same power. The vette would walk all over it. 750 wheel horse vettes trap in the mid 140's. theres camaros that trap in the 140's with that kinda of power so yeah for the amount of money that bmw has in it its pretty sad how it performed.

I would think his intergra would do good against a vette that had the power to weight ratio as the M3 as well. Specially being the vette is already close 500lbs lighter then a M3.

I'm telling you guys I've seen quite a few of the hpf m3's race and for hte hp they put down they are really underwelming. All that power is in the tippy top of the rpm band and isn't all that useful, but great for bragging. I'd like to own one, but yeah the numbers don't represent the cars potential that well.
Also the guy that posted the video on YouTube is chris@hpf so there shouldn't be much of a question of the legitimacy of the m3, they just don't move out how you'd think.

they tend to be more of a top end car, 3rd/4th/5th gears are where they move out on.
But i have seen some that are built to be drag focused vehicles and then the HPF cars produce good numbers for their chassis.

if anything feels rattle trap-ish inside its an Elise.... nice car but i dunno.
what am i not understanding here....

2) there is about a 1000lb vehicle weight difference between the two. not counting an extra passenger in the m3.

That BMW was definitely not at 1,000hp when it raced that Teg.

power to weight only takes into account peak power, that teg could have a pretty good area compared to what the bmw has.
I have no idea since i dont know anything about the m3. but if one of the HPF guys are putting the video up the car must be running ok.

Just found this video, The Integra is my car...
It really is an Open diff.. I have broken the diff's before and i am pretty sure the whole tranny is on its limit every time i take it over 500+ limit lol...
The car did run a 10.48@145 on 23psi (made the 660@25psi) I feel it has a 147-148 trap on it on a good day. On those same Nitto Neo Gens tires i ran a 11.50@137.
The main problem with the M3 is his Power band. It does make 1000whp but only at 8000rpm so it probably averages 800-900.

the video was uploaded by Chris@HPF. I'd think he would know what the status of the car was when he made and uploaded the video. I love HPF, don't get me wrong, but if I ever owned a 1000whp m3 I would downplay that a bit as they never really stack up to what the dyno numbers portray.

I watched an E46 M3 with a HPF kit on it at Cali Speedway in Fontana, Ca run a 11.4 his first run with a new setup and a specially made chromoly driveshaft, spinning thru 1-2-3. His second run he snapped that $900+ driveshaft once he hit 2nd gear. He was trying to get into the 10's !
