At the end of the day trap speed tells everything not rwhp.

Honestly the stang in the vid did well against a 570 rwhp vette... Sure its a very quick car. Just when you here 700 plus rwhp your expecting more
As I drag race more I don't care about trap if I am passing the end of teh track first. As said before you can trap 1900mph but if you ran a 10.7 to my 10.5 and I crossed first. Well I win.

I also have yet to see a 2010+ GT500 trap 112 when it has traction. One see that get traction have went low-mid 11's stock with tires and 120-122. WHich is pretty good for no mods and still 4000lbs with driver.

Your a track rat and Im a street racer... Well never agree on this one.

In my world its trap speed and 60-130.

When the world was raceingover 09 gtrs running 11.5 a few years back all I saw was 119 mph trapps and knew when push came to shove Id pull one on the highway.

Drag raceing is kool and Ive done my share. But the roll races on the way to the strip have always been more cherished as memories for me

Actually, we traded camera man duties. He was in my Vette for the third race, in the KR for the first two vids.

Honestly, my car isn't fast, but it does trap 125mph and I use to care about mph, but I got tired of it. Clicking off faster e.t.s is better then spinning at the track. Roll racing might make you feel good about your car, but I bet if you took your viper down the track you would be very upset in the mph and e.t. department based on even your roll racing. Don't take it the wrong way because I'm not ******* your car, just the perspective on racing. Like I said, I was there. I still look at mph, it can tell you where your car stands, but it's far from the end all be all.

It just depends how you look at things. All it takes is enough $ to beat the other guy from a roll race. Yes most of the street racing when driving does occur from a roll. but its usually you randomly run into some one on the highway, where you cant go from a dig. I myself do enjoy going to the track to see what the car and I can do. Like ohio mentioned if i get down the track first i dont care how fast you trap i just showed you who the better driver is. To most that is they most important part. Also you definition of street racer is much different that mine. I consider one a street racer if you are setting up runs on the street and going from a dig. 95% of the time when I hear someone say 'no not from a dig lets go from a roll', Its one of two things 1. they have wrong wheel drive, or 2. can drive worth a ****.

Pretty impressive especially an N/A car against one with F/I at that high an altitude.

I don't know 60-130times that's killemalls stuff. Just think rolls take the driver out more and more of it comes down to the cars

Both cars sound awesome. But typical case of mustang syndrome. An extra 150whp to keep up lol

Agreed

We had a drag strip but it closed down. I lived there. Im talking 2-3 days a week from 2000-2006 all year long

It was fun. But even in a slow 380 rwhp C5 that 12 seconds went by far to fast.

The car had 2.73 gearing and only went 12.8s at 112 mph (stock was 13.5s at 102 mph)

This may be were my love for roll racing came from. I quickly realized that many of the cars that could whipp up on the 2.73s at the strip would fall to my rear on rolls were the 2.73s seemed to shine past 70 mph.

1000 passes plus in my supercharged v6 camaro and h/c C5. No stranger to the drag strip. Planning on being very close to tens with my viper when the nitto nt05r's go on.

I am ordering 305/40/18 nt05r for my car. Run them on street and track. No mode swapping rims

Awd... What about wet weather. Any problems?

Ive got nitto invois right now. At 486 rwhp and 530 rwt sae they just stuck no matter the gear or roll speed.

Seemed to hold up well at 515 rwhp 540 rwt sae as vwell. Could for the most part hook in first gear and always second.

Now at 543 rwhp and 559 rwt sae thet just light up in smoke in first and second gear.

Any experience with the nt05? Can this hold more power than the nitto invos?

Herd the nt05r was good for 750 rwhp but no idea

I had them with my g8 at 489/522 and hooked no issue. I also have a buddy that runs them on his 680whp 640wtq termi and they hook fine for him.

They seem just fine to me pretty stable I don't really push my car in corners much but I've got the g-meter on the hud to .8 with no wooble or sway. Only taken them up to about 120 but they seem just as stable up top as my old NT05 Street tires were.

I've had both on my car

I've only driven them once when it was wet out and they seemed ok didn't feel that sketchy as long as you drive normal they were fine.

Haven't had Invos but I had the NT05 Street tires before these and I could dead hook above 50-60mph+. And now with the NT05R's (in colder weather compared to before) I dead hook anywhere above 20mph with no burnout or warming them up beforehand and its only like 50* here.
It was definitely worth the money
