C6 Z06 Vs GT 500 KR
A friend recently modded his KR, with a 2.3 TVS blower, big heat exchanger, tune, and stainless works headers and OR pipe, making 18 pounds of boost and dyno'd at 721 RWHP SAE. He's on NTO5R's.
My C6 Z06 has decked heads and a big cam, and a ported intake manifold, and American racing headers and OR pipe. It made 571 RWHP SAE. I'm on R-888's.
We raced four times, once from a standing start and both spun pretty good in first, by 125 mph (top of my third gear) I had him by about 2 cars. We then ran twice from a 45 roll and again by 125 I had him by 2 cars. Our last run we started at 55 and ran to about 140 and I pulled him by over 2 cars. Good fun!
BTW: I'll have videos of the runs later, maybe today.

Yeah, people see that 150 horsepower difference and cry BS. But if you factor power/weight we should have been dead even. My Z is an 07 and it does run better than some would give it credit for.
