I just dont understand why the Ford guys over rate the fords and under rate the chevys and why the chevy guys over rate the chevys and under rate the fords. The 2 biggest aspects that will change how a car will run for what it has, is driver, and Da/weather. With the same parts... the cars will make the same hp give or take 5-10hp. Ive seen modded Mach 1s make over 300whp run consistant 13.2-13.4s at 107-108 on the exact same day and track i would see a better driver take a stock mach 1 with 270whp to run 12.7 at 107. No his car is not a freak.... no the modded one is not a slouch.. On the roll, the modded one will pull while in the gear but fall a little more on the shift. The power is there, the driver is not. The same thing goes with F bodies. The strongest bolt on factory weight F body i have seen in person went 12.1 at 113.7 (ill give him 114mph because he was on the limiter for the last 50 ft in 4th gear). That kid could drive the ***** off anything. The car was strong on the roll... but it couldnt even get close to 117mph and it had 4.10s. Im willing to bet that with a stock set of 243 heads.. it still wouldnt do 117mph. Not without some weight reduction and more aggressive launching.
You would of cried had you seen my bolt-on Formula WS6 go 114.x full weight at Carlsbad years ago.
And LOL at both cars being within 5hp mod for mod. Even a full bolt-on LS1 will have an easy 25-30whp and 35wtq on a Mach with similar mods.

So you find it that hard to believe a full bolt-on LS1 trapping over 112, yet you claimed to have seen a STOCK Mach 1 go 12.7@107? Biased anyone?

The fastest (trap speed) I've heard of for a bolt-on 6-speed fbody is Demonicbird00's car. He went 117 mph with a good amount of weight reduction and in stellar weather conditions. 115+ with a full weight car is mostly likely going to take great weather/track conditions as well. Possible for sure, but I doubt it would be the norm.

we are not talking about 3000lb race cars. We are talking about average run of the mill f bodies. I gaurentee you the race weight of this "117mph" car is around 3550+. Throw in a soft launch... lose more mph. you guys arent grasping the concept of how fast a car that goes 12.3 at 117 really is. If he said i went 11.6 at 117mph in my bolt ls1... i would believe that more. That would tell me his launching the **** out of the car which allows him to have gained a significant amount more mph in the 330ft. That in turn will result in higher trap speeds in both the 8th and 1/4. I asked earlier what he ran in the 8th for trap speed. Launching the car soft to not hurt the factory 10 bolt WILL hurt your trap speeds. So that means his full race weight f body with a 12 bolt and 4.10s launched hard will go north of 117mph??? Think about that people.. im not being biased... im just not being blind to common sense. Look up every single crazy fast trap speed bolt on car... there all geared to **** and as light as ****. Not one of them is full weight with 3.42s...

i hate that list because it makes people think its THAT easy. O if i just do some bolt ons, put some gears in the car, and pull some weight out... ill go 10s at north of 120mph... please. That list spawns forum junkies who have never even taken there cars down the track and just assume thats what they do. These guys also fail to mention the -1000 da they set these records in.. Then you expect crazy results in your average da of 1500. They also fail to mention the vast amount of suspension/drivetrain/chasis work these cars have. i despise that list because of the false hope it gives to people who have never built a race car

^^^^ It's not that hard to get a bolt-on auto ls1 in the 11's. A good stall and minor weight reduction and your there.
And get it's *** raped on the street, the fucked up part is.....this is the street racing section. Check out the fastest list and you will see just how much Sepno was lacking. Since you seem to like rubbing in how you beat Sepno at the track.
Could be when you consider the cars on the list are useing the whole 1/4 to their advantage. For comparison the bolt-on c6 Z06 record is 9.97 @ 137-138

No actually I was talking about that seems to be a fact in general. You are the one that is stuck on a full bolt on LS1 lost to a Mach 1 with 5 minor mods.

Well if it's pretty easy to get one into the 11's then 10's are more reserved for the hard core dragracer.....which I am not.
Cost does'nt really matter. It's the effect the mod has on the vehicle. Do you dd that car? If so I imagine goin down the road @ 3500 rpms in 5th @ 70 mph probally sucks.....same with swaying in a turn with et streets on it or driving in the rain with them.

Also at 70mph I'm not even at 3,000rpms. Failure...again
