They should've put a ls6 cam in it to....then the car would've trapped 120+/-.

I can't say why he did what he did, I'm new to the LSX motors I'm an ol school big block guy but I have to say the more I learn about these motors the more impressed I get, it's just hard to swap your wrenches for a programmer when it comes to tuning. I'm happy with the way the car runs now, the only sketchy part of it to me is the rear end. If I upgrade anything it will be the rear end to a 9" more than likely, I gotta give it to ford there. Don't get much better if at all the a 9" in my opinion

The majority of 4.6 and 5.0 mustangs I see at the track struggle to break into the 12's unless they're blown and heavily modded. Not saying they don't exist but there's none at my local track
Man I would break your heart if you were close by.

Stoppy I believe he also said heavily modded....which the category your 5.4 sbf would fall into.......your mach would look silly next too car that traps 117.

Sorry, I forgot GM boys like comparing their non stock cars to stock Fords.

Why are you so stuck on trap speed? He runs 12.3 and I've run 12.5 so far. Yea, I'd look silly.

this is a 250lb driver with no trackey (for those not familiar with it look it up). This car has bested an 11.58 at 118. This is not the first car to trap this high. There are quite of bit of them doing that. I am 150lbs and have the trackey (car is much stronger with it). So to say no stock ford can hang with you is ignorant... because this one would beat you pretty badly. .8 of a second is 5-6 cars.

That TracKey option does look badass. I loved the 2011 GT when it came out, and they only improved things with the Boss from what I've seen.

Sepno walked the **** out of your Mach with a 110 trap on the street with equal tires. This guy is quicker and has 10 mph on you instead of 3 like Sepno did. That means his car accerlerates like a mid 11 sec car once it get moving. Your Mach accelerates like a mid 13 sec car once you get moving.....commen sense.

So unless you would get one hell of a jump on him all you could do is set there and wait for him to pass you. I case you have'nt noticed trap speed is a better indicater on power. ET is a better indicater on set-up/traction/gear and most importantly in the f-body case rear end strength.

So your saying they went to the trouble to bolt slicks on the car and not use the "track key" and this one is the fastest.....I hope you don't believe that.

you dont get the track key from the factory. You have to have it ordered and activated. You would easily be able to tell if it was used in this race.. with the track key the car idles cammed (activates the "v8 vtech" off idle instead of above 6k rpm). This is a friend of mines buddy... he DOES NOT have the trackey because he didnt want to waste his money with a gm tune. Most people are like this. I wanna keep my warrenty for a little while so im using it. And anyone so far who has tested the track key has been in crazy elevations and weather temps...so they werent very impressive. But they picked up around 2 tenths and 1-2mph.

another example:

Heres the diff in idle sound:

Sepno "walked the ****" out of my Mach 1 when it had different mods than it does now. With mods now it "walked the ****" out of his LS1. What part of that don't you understand? Bring this guys 117mph trap LS1 to the track and I'll bring my 108mph trap Mach 1 and we will see what happens.

You packed gear in your Mach and out tired Sepno at a dragstrip....big deal. Run him again on the street and see what happens with equal footing. Sepno was'nt even doin a good job driving. There is no reason other than driver if a bolt-on 4th gen ls1 car don't go well into the 12's @ 112-114 mph. I have helped friends on 3 ls1 cars that went 12.9-13.0@109-110 with only 2 mods or even just free mods and that's with stock tires.

Run that 117mph ls1 on the street and see what happens. It would look something like this for you

id rather race it... because i cant see it going 117mph...and ive seen some genetic freaks of cars/drivers. For that thing to do 117 you would have to drive the ***** off it.... and have a significant amount of weight pulled... not to mention it doesnt have any gear...come on people

He's stuck on trap speed because it favors his weight reduced, face plated transmission combination.

Think about it dude. Bolt-on ls1's should go 112-114 as a average @ full weight on regular tires. His has ls6 heads which should net him 20-30 hp. 117 is not out of the range that would be possible and he was on a dr. My car was on the stock gear, full weight, stock cat-back and it went 112.8 when it had the ls1 in it.

Do those boss 302's have that coyote motor or is that a Shelby thing? I'm not real familiar with ford option list
