The majority of 4.6 and 5.0 mustangs I see at the track struggle to break into the 12's unless they're blown and heavily modded. Not saying they don't exist but there's none at my local track

this is a 250lb driver with no trackey (for those not familiar with it look it up). This car has bested an 11.58 at 118. This is not the first car to trap this high. There are quite of bit of them doing that. I am 150lbs and have the trackey (car is much stronger with it). So to say no stock ford can hang with you is ignorant... because this one would beat you pretty badly. .8 of a second is 5-6 cars.

So unless you would get one hell of a jump on him all you could do is set there and wait for him to pass you. I case you have'nt noticed trap speed is a better indicater on power. ET is a better indicater on set-up/traction/gear and most importantly in the f-body case rear end strength.
