Just skimming over the last few pages made me curious as to how quick those old sn 5.0's were. I didn't know they were that slow. The LT1 Camaro was almost a full second faster. Out of all the road tests I could find for 94/95 this is only one that made it into the 14s.

Check out the 0-100 times....I think they had a misprint on the z28. You mustang guys better hope that's a misprint on the 0-130 times

It's no secret those cars don't go very well on the top side.

Mike those times were in August heat when I ran the Impy. I think those times would be typical for a real stock sn95 5.0 in the heat and NO ice pack. Ice packing one to run a number is not stock.

Also look at the 5 -60 street start times. Look at how much that small of a roll killed the Mustang. When it can't utilize that low 1st gear from a dead stop a raping shortly ensues.

And just think....you guys are trying to compare it to a ls1

I'd rather compare a 95 to a LS6...

My dad had a low mileage 94 5.0..every bolt on and true duals, we even did a gear swap to 3.55's it was a A4 ..it was slow, 14.9 in the 1/4..he had a couple of stangs after that his 2011 GT/ auto with 3.15's...13.30's is all we could muster out of it with an axle back..my input..

Pretty obvious you didn't know what you are doing. You need 410s with an auto min-355s is a waste. And a converter. All Mustang V8s were true duals from the factory. 13.3s out of a new 5.0-thats slow too.

I did. We called it STUPIDFLY. Also got that crook Sean Hyland a lot of business and credibility. Was funny seeing Jerry Green outrun that car with a bolt on 98 car(though he never made passes in it)

They're in the process of bringing that project car back.

Mike, what's the deal with Sean Hyland? I know the name and that he builds Ford engines, but don't have any back story.

I wasn't reading the magazine when they first built that project, although I did enjoy the 2V Red Headed Step Child project, even if it never made great power.

He was the first guy to get a lot of press in regards to modding mod motors back in the late 90s. He was out of Canada. He ripped off a lot of guys on the Corral in the early 2000s and it got ugly.
He did a lot of chips for Superfly as well as the cams. Also did the exhaust it first had.
