I don't know about that-but its doable. Give me the car and a month..

Just bring the 5.0 up to par with the LS1 technology (aluminum heads and better intake) and there you are. Infact if I were you I would keep the stock camshaft in there. PM me if you want a combo that would stomp a bolt on LS1 with a 5.0 SN95 with the stock cam. That should **** them off

Why's that? Do you know what the stock specs are for a SN95 cam? Do you think it would take big bad cam to get a N/A pushrod 5.0 to beat a bolt on LS1? School me please...obviously you know more about the old school 5.0's than I do. *pulls up chair*

But yeah, its going to take a good H/C combo to take out a solid bottom 12/11-sec bolt-on LS1. After all, these are low to mid 15-second cars stock; Why do you act surprised? This is old news...

I have an old POS '89 302 sitting right now...not much to brag about though. If memory serves correct, stock cam specs are 210* .444 I/E. On a 117 lobe sep. Not sure why you asked for specs on sn95 specifically considering Ford used the same cam from '90-95.

And no, it won't take a good H/C combo to take out a "solid bottom 12/11 sec bolt on LS1" (btw where are these cars hiding? ) Even then, I'd be willing to bet the bank I could get a stock cammed Sn95 N/A 5.0 to run 11's. Don't make me go buy a junkyard shortblock to prove a point!

Yeah I've had this car a month but this aint my first time around the block.like I said it takes one he'll of a ford to outrun me from a dead stop. Ive ran over 20 mustangs, and my car isn't stock. Full length headers, true duals, cat deletes, lid, tune, ls6 intake, maf, and drag radials it's nothing special but ain't no stock or similar modified ford gonna run with it. That's just the Simple truth.

I asked if you new the specs because we were talking about a SN95 5.0.....????? Anyways, you are wrong. Specs are .444/.444, 276I/266E 115sep. If you want to get technical the 95 cam is different than any other 5.0 cam. And the cam specs are all the same from late 88 to 95 (not 90-95 like you said) excluding the Cobra cam.
The 5.0 HO camshaft used in 1985 - 1988 (E5ZE-AA) was almost identical to the later 5.0 HO camshaft, except that it had a higher Exh. Dur. and the Lobe Center Line was an even 115.
Too many pretend Tech experts around here.

I don't want to outrun bolt one Ls1s-I want to outrun most of the n/a ones period!

Really? I'm talking specs measured at .050 not "advertised" duration like the factory uses. Again, specs are 210/210 .444/.444 115.5 (or what most of us guys round out to 116) using the stock 1.60 rockers. And Ford used the same cam from '89-95 so please forgive me for being off by one year. Hence why I said "if memory serves correct".

If you're serious I have an '89 302 I recently pulled out of a friends Miata. Truthfully though, I doubt you'll reach your goal.

Send your shortblock and I'll put it together. I even have a 1995 stock GT camshaft I can use. Seriously send it my way and I'll make you eat your words.

The '82-84 HO used a different cam. Can't remember the exact dur. but lift was 414/445 and lobe was 114.5. The '84-85 CFI motors also ran this camshaft.
