Thanks for the kind words Lemons. Some guys don't understand the details.

Op your car has alot left in it. How much rpm you turning it?
It went 11.4..good enough for bolt ons and 3600lbs in 1500+ DA. So how fail?

Hahaha, to you maybe but NOT to most owners of c5z's. That's my point, so capishe? Most guys that own c5z's and have done ported tb's fast intakes and whatnot say it's NOT worth it after dynoing their cars. That's the consensus there like I said. And if you do see any bolt-on z06's with 430whp, I'd love to see it, lmao.

Again badazz, your car is running good, have fun with it. I still like the way my 03 feels better than the 08 and 11 z06's I've driven recently.

The more mods, the more the gap between the two... Power/weight.. Not the count the CI. advantage. The faster the race goes, the more the CI advantage will show.

Every mod added gives even more of a gap in favor of an ls1. Full bolt on VS full bolt on is a pretty good gap between the two. More of a gap in MPH than in ET.

I understand that completely, I also understand most would consider a FAST 102 un-needed on a SI. car. However, they are wrong about "full bolt ons" and whether it is "needed" or not is irrelevant, it makes more power... Even on a bone stock motor.

I will be going with a Super Vic. JR with a 4150 with my next build because FAST is over priced and can't hang with this intake, which I will have far less money in than my ported 102 I had.

I completely understand what you are saying... They are still wrong, and it still makes more power. HiO, me, and a few others in this thread don't care to spend 4 hours and 200$ tweaking something to get another 3Rwhp out of it.... Why? Do that with 5 mods and race the identical setup with someone that was lazy.... You are up 15Rwhp now. It all adds up.

Definitely step up to the C6z if you can swing it. Depends what feel you want. C5Z's are more of a "raw" feel

He dynoed 390/375. He and the mustang raced, but it was kind of fucked up. The mustang barely got him. I'll be sure to get another video.
Wouldnt have mattered for him since 5th is his 1:1 gear.

Yeah, I remember someone saying that. It's not that he didn't want too, I just didn't want to top out my fourth gear on the road we were on. If we race again, I'll tell him to put his 'cheaters' on the back and we will start from 1st. But it will probably be a while.

So based from these results, is is safe to say a stalled full bolt on, 3.42 geared coupe , with ls6 heads/cam would fair the same or slightly better?

Lots of good stuff in this thread.

Guess im weird but close race or not the z06 is twice the car the stang is.

To me that z06 is and will forever be a 55k car with a sinister apeal. The 5.0 will forever be a 38k car that looks generic as you can get

With that said the 5.0 is proven at this point. Its a mean sonofabeyotch and I cant wait to get a vid with one

I have thought about trying a intake like that also, but I will stay injected. Maybe not on the 6 but I have been looking for one for the 7. Not many results to be found for what fits fits under the cowl. I don't mind trimming the cowl but would like to know if that style of intake is worth it.
