Again badazz, your car is running good, have fun with it. I still like the way my 03 feels better than the 08 and 11 z06's I've driven recently.

lolz hio is so mad.. Looked like avg results to me if the 5.0 you ran would have put the time and effort you put into your car hio it would have been right there with ya. Boss mani Makes all kinds of power up top guys more bolt-ons for both would give the 5.0 the slight advantage. Would be a good race to watch.
Machs are extremely close in ET with ls1s, all else equal. They are down 2-3mph on average however.
Every mod added gives even more of a gap in favor of an ls1. Full bolt on VS full bolt on is a pretty good gap between the two. More of a gap in MPH than in ET.
Hahaha, to you maybe but NOT to most owners of c5z's. That's my point, so capishe? Most guys that own c5z's and have done ported tb's fast intakes and whatnot say it's NOT worth it after dynoing their cars. That's the consensus there like I said. And if you do see any bolt-on z06's with 430whp, I'd love to see it, lmao.

I will be going with a Super Vic. JR with a 4150 with my next build because FAST is over priced and can't hang with this intake, which I will have far less money in than my ported 102 I had.
I completely understand what you are saying... They are still wrong, and it still makes more power. HiO, me, and a few others in this thread don't care to spend 4 hours and 200$ tweaking something to get another 3Rwhp out of it.... Why? Do that with 5 mods and race the identical setup with someone that was lazy.... You are up 15Rwhp now.

Yeah, I was definitely surprised. I think if I would have stayed in it longer in 4th, I would have slowly walked. I started to in the 1st video at the very end. But if the race would have went any further he would have been shifting into 5th.My next race is gonna be my buddy with a 2000 SS. He just did cam, headers, intake and he has 3.73's, M6. He dynoed 390/375. He and the mustang raced, but it was kind of fucked up. The mustang barely got him. I'll be sure to get another video.

Yeah, I remember someone saying that. It's not that he didn't want too, I just didn't want to top out my fourth gear on the road we were on. If we race again, I'll tell him to put his 'cheaters' on the back and we will start from 1st. But it will probably be a while.

Lots of good stuff in this thread.
Guess im weird but close race or not the z06 is twice the car the stang is.
To me that z06 is and will forever be a 55k car with a sinister apeal. The 5.0 will forever be a 38k car that looks generic as you can get
With that said the 5.0 is proven at this point. Its a mean sonofabeyotch and I cant wait to get a vid with one

The more mods, the more the gap between the two... Power/weight.. Not the count the CI. advantage. The faster the race goes, the more the CI advantage will show.

I understand that completely, I also understand most would consider a FAST 102 un-needed on a SI. car. However, they are wrong about "full bolt ons" and whether it is "needed" or not is irrelevant, it makes more power... Even on a bone stock motor.

It all adds up.
