so you are saying that you could take down a low 9 second vette? Because a heads/cam/bolton/DR/125hp nitrous vette is gonna run a low 9 second time. Face it, a drag strip is not the right location for a AWD anything to dominate: the street is your natural habitat.
I know I'm coming off as a import or AWD hater, but it's not true. Hell, if I could half-way comfortably fit into a Evo or Sti I would be sporting one as a very fun daily driver right now. Nothing quite like the feeling of hitting the apex of a tight turn and going WOT: sliding sideways while still pulling forward is a very unique and badass feeling.

AWD is nowhere near as great as you think my friend. Hell, if they could actually launch as hard as guys like you seem to think then they would be pulling the front tires. When's the last time you saw a evo or sti doing a wheelie?
Fact is, a properly setup RWD car with DRs or even just sticky extreme summer tires like mine will keep your vaunted AWD equipped cars within a car length or less through an intersection. And we all know what happens after that pull is stopped....
Until you first build a GTO, new SS, et al into something fast enough to beat a C6 Z06 and still be a fully streetable daily driver with zero drivability or reliability problems then you can understand just how truly badass a Z06 is.
THEN, before you can really talk ****, you have to build a car that can also beat a cam'd bolton well driven Z06. For the very few on this website that can actually say they built a quicker and faster car then a bolton/cam Z06 and still drive it to work everyday, well, by that point two things will have happened: they will have more money into there setup then a used cam'd Z06 cost, and they will fully appreciate just how badass a Z06 truly is.

I'm not going to say your car isn't capable of what you day it is. But you gotta understand the bullshit trolling on tech as of late with all of the non LS based vehicles just raping everybody. From GTPs to talons to regals, etc. It's one thing to rape a c5z, but a c6z with heads cam nitrous DR's, that's a mid 9 car at over 140 mph cutting 1.70 ish 60' on the IRS. That's quite a claim and to me the talon doesn't look like it's moving that fast.

Naw it has a cam... But im not gonna post all the dudes mods... It had a cam cause thats obvious if ur n person and hear the car... Like I said im good friends with this guy

odarabla: so many ppl dont realize how much different the track is compared to a street race lmao. awd is the closest to being the same at both places. i cant believe people dont understand. in most cases rwd cant leave at 6000 rpm on dirty street with all the prep in the world

What most of you guys are forgetting is that this is a street race and most cars don't run the same on the street as they do at the track. Low 10 second cars will run mid to high 10 on the street. Some will even hit low 11's on the street. So you guys can drop all this **** about (well a H/C/I C6Z will be a high 9 second car).
Hey Talon, got a serious question for you: since you awd guys are the bane of the 1/8 mile to the rwd world, do you guys feel the same way about big hp diesel trucks? Talk about a nasty rivalry! Country boy redneck truck owners versus inner city ballers driving imports... there'd be one helluva lot of guns represented at that get together...

Guess roll racing would be gay if you get *** raped. I have fun dig or roll. Fact is, most runs on the street 90% of the time are on the highway (roll). Coming to a dead stop in traffic on the highway usually causes problems. Like the people behind you calling the cops and giving them your plate. Ask me how I know. Back in my young and dumb days. Back to the OP. My point is don't get offended when you post up a vid and expect no one to question it or not ask about mods. If i went on talonworld.com or whatever and posted same thing, i would be flamed to no end. Odarabla been around here for a little bit so I take his word for it.
