So now every Fox Body has ripped out floor boards and it takes a "built" Mustang to hang with Hiho's "stock" car.
Jesus Christ, it is getting deep. **** the boots, time for the waders.

It'll run, a built 10 sec fox is not gonna scare me. Especially when I'm about to go out on a 25* morning and drive my car. The only thing keeping my stock ls6 out of the 10's is a good rearend.....and that is in the works. It takes me a little longer than most because I build this **** myself with friends helping from time to time.
Some of you Ford guys talk about how your gonna "build" something....that's all fine and a good combination is all it takes to make anything run. So far you have have to "build" your engine just to keep up with my stock 80,000 mile gm production engine. The worst part is that gm has other production engines that is better than mine, ls2,ls3 and the ls7 of which I have one. With that said, you better build a 9 sec fox.

it's not just "ford guys" that talk about building stuff.

I will say this: with Hio's constant posting about "stock" motored street car, it reminds me of Matt DaSilva's 5.0 swapped S197 street car.

This car is the car that they are basing the "Coyote" class off of in the NMRA next year.

i like the guys that try to say their 68 350 camaro is running high 9's in nhra's stock class, or the guys with the 390 mustangs saying the same thing.
if ANY of that old ****'s going that fast it sure as hell ain't stock. not even in the same galaxy as stock.
wait? that car ran a 10.87, and it's supposed to be stock???

Kinda looks like Hio's car inside (lite weight steering wheel).

i thought there was another thread discusing "stock". stock means stock. not stock long block, but with this n that n a little of the other thing, and some widgets installed.
stock camaros and mustangs ain't runnin 10's. welllll......maybe the zl1 and the gt500.....but you know what i mean.

well then using his reasoning, the only thing keeping my 89 out of the 10's was a nitrous bottle or a blower. ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)

that's what got me. he goes on to say only a rear is keeping him outta the 10's. i kinda hafta laugh at the word games when it gets to that point....unless he's got it in a vette....but i'm seeing the sig saying it's a camaro.
so if the "production" engine is that crate engine....any one of us could take a crate engine from ford, and do the same thing, or probably better.
