It's okay I guess. I typically run my bike, and it's a lumpy bumpy, slippery track. So it sucks for running my bike. But not too bad in the car, but then again my car is a 14 seconder. The sub 12 cars have a few more problems. Then the last time I went (back in October) the track lights were out, the ET board was broke...so we had to go all the way to the announcers booth to get our times. May have to visit another one this year.

I heard it went to crap when the new owner took over. Plus they don't use the real vht(or whatever it's called) to prep the track, they use some sort of alternative that's supposed to be the same or better but the fast guys say it sucks. Works fine with my old 06 mustang and old ram R/T, but my genesis had horrible traction issues when it was like around 30 degrees outside in october or november 2010

my grand prix gxp ran 13.6@102 stock i have seen ALOT of 3v's run worse than that in the 1/4. and only trap 103-104. i posted a vid years ago like back in 2005. of me taking down a 2005 mustang gt from a 45 roll. both of us were stock. Tony who im not sure but i think still has his TBSS also ran a 13.6@102 i think in his gxp stock.

This car, back when it had maybe 1000mi on it (stock down to the AC Delco air filter)

Did this
![](http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f51/TonyGXP/timeslip.jpg)
Same night three things come to mind.
1. 2000 Auto TA with tune and cat back exhaust (maybe 90k mi on it) went mid 13's. I was going through traps on his bumper when we ran.
2. 98 GTP on bald stock Good Year's, pulley, exhaust, large I/C was running 13.2-13.4 all night, guy could drive the **** out of that car (actually responsible for teaching me how to launch a FWD car on street tires and dropping me from 13.8's to 13.6's)..
3. 2005, 5spd, Mustang GT with a hand held and Catback (nice kid) running within a .1 of me. We ran three times I won once, he won the other two times by .1, same mph for both of us (102.x).
DA was awesome that night -1500' or more. having said that, those 4 cars were in same conditions and that was the outcome. end result, stock GP GXP is capable of running close to an Auto LS1 F body, 4.6 GT, and gets trashed by a good driver in a modded GTP...
the car in the other lane that went a pitiful 14.9?? a new at the time, Acura TL-S.. junk.

so you think its normal for a tuned 3v to trap 102 in -1500 da? just curious. and I like those cars just as much as the next guy but i just know where they place. just cause you don't like mustangs doesn't mean they can't outrun a gp gxp.

My GXP is teh slow.. That is why I am selling it to my father. I just couldn't get over the FWD Failure that is was.
That being said 3V's are what they are. A moderate improvement over a 2v turd. I miss my 4v...

Well ive owned two 3v cars now. my 07 with intake headers and tune went 12.8@111 and my 2010 went 13.4@105 bone stock with stock tires and 300 miles on the odometer. so people just need to learn how to drive.

But they were never doing these time back then when they were new, freshly broken in cars and put in the hands of seasoned drag racers. Wonder what gives? Oh, lemme guess, it's the driver!

My 05' went 12.9@107 with 4.10's, off road h, intake, tune. that was with a 1.79 sixty foot on street tires. With headers and NSR cams (no springs required=very mild) it went 12.60@110 with a 1.73 short time on street tires. Spare/jack removed. And all runs were on average about +1500 DA.
