110 traps sounds about right with those mods. I've seen them go 112 with mild cams/bolt-ons out here at sea level.

seen that to begin with. but it looked as if you were calling his whole statement false. how many mach1s have you seen go 12s in stock form?? i never kept up with three valves very close ive seen most run mid 13s though. so to me it looked like redfire was on point with his statement

It was blatantly obvious who he was referring to with that statement I quoted, and blatantly obvious that I was referring to the same person. It isn't convenient for me to chop apart posts since I'm using my phone, but if you need me to spell it out more clearly for you from now on, I suppose I can.

We all see higher numbers later on, and we all know that. Of course the 4valve cars were running mid thirteens back in the day, so were ls1 cars. But look at the way both these cars run after break in and some seat time... I think everyone agrees that capability and regularity are not the same. Those machs were impressive as hell, but even more so when they have a handful of select mods, and the same can be said for the ls1 cars. I do not remember any 5.0 running thirteens stock, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. Hell, most the guys around where I am were more concerned with "pimping their rides" as opposed to running great times . I remember such statements as.."there's nothing you can do to a chevy 350 to make it run with a lx 5.0"...again . Those people should wear their hats on their asses, since that's where most of the talking is coming from, imo.

Let me see . . .
A bunch of 13-14-15 second cars (3V-GXP-V6) and nutswingers (myself included) defending them.
Nothing too groundbreaking really, but Ford vs GM always makes good reading material.
No matter how fast (slow) they happen to be.

Plus, it's winter for some of us, gotta do with what you got.

Got a 4L Ranger 4X4 on 31" tires, who wants some of that action?

I got a pushrod '02 Taurus that I'll race you with

You got too much for me, plus that Frontier bumper makes it a race truck, unfair advantage.
You running E-85 or 93 or worse, in that fiberglassed bodied, chrome-molly tubeframed race monster of yours?
Puppy kicking on your part. Tskkk! Tskkk!
It's just a Ford!

False. I saw LS1's going 13.0-13.3@107 back in '98-02. It's nothing new. Some of you guys must be dumb *** young to not know this stuff. It doesn't take 10 years to break a car in. Vehicles run what they are capable of and the numbers don't necessarily change over the years. Only on the internet they do.

Another example, look at what mags like GMHTP, Car Craft, Modern Muscle etc. were running back when these cars were new. Hell, Motorweek wen't 13.3 at 108 back in '97. lol The same damn times people run today.

Yeah, and I saw a LT1-powered unicorn go 12.9x stock too.

I'm not here to start an arguement and i don't really care if you believe me or not. This was a few years ago now but i did post info on this website back then, so feel free to search my name. My 07 was faster than my 10 mod for mod but my 07 was kind of a freak. My 10 ran right where it should of. It's best was 13.0@108 with almost the same mods as my 07. The da was very good for all of my best runs but thats neither here nor their.

Most of the time my cars run about 2-3 tenths slower in the summer and those time i posted were absolute best. But yes my 07 trapped a best of 111.xxx. I do not have the time slips anymore as that was about 4 years ago i had that car. Complete mod list for that car was

JLT2 intake
brenspeed 93 tune
OBX headers
o/r h-pipe
pypes catback
stock 17's
3.31 gears
