dam....that's pretty dam good.

i had a customer with an old fox body with a novi2000 on his ohv 5 liter. there was no traction whatsoever in 1st or 2nd on street tires. he claimed it 1an high 10's.

i was talking with a ford service manager, who claimed to have been at one of fords testing facilities when they tested the installation of a boss302 intake on an otherwise stock 5 liter. he claimed that it only netted a 5hp increase.
since you're actually using one in real world......what's your opinion on them?

With the manual car the boss can be great. But you have to have rev it to least 7700 and have least 3.73 gears to take advantage of the boss. Installing it on a auto has not showed great gains with its low gearing. But combined with boost its great. If have it on an auto you will defiantly want a good size stall and some gearing.

As in redline? People have took them out just like the manual to 7800. With a blower like mine most do not take above 7400.

although the boss engine has different internals, if you've ever seen one of these engines taken apart.......there's not much reason to worry about taking the coyote up to 7500, or 7800. they're built pretty stoutly.

Do they make any in between sizes? couldnt you just put a 295 nitto DR and make up the difference?

I ordered mine from Discount Tire Direct and they only had 275/40/17's. Amazing the difference in the feel of the car going from Sumitomo's (previous owner installed) vs. Nitto Street tires in front and 555R's in back. Was like driving a completely different, much nicer car
