570rwhp 3200lbs struggling vs 522awhp 3800lbs?

 

First race the viper spun out really bad. You can see a big puff of smoke from the rear tires lol...

Second race was as expected..very close with slight edge to viper.


Guys..you gotta remember the gtr trapps 120 mph with just the stock 400 awhp. 3800 pounds or not the gearing and paddle shifts make it an amazeing performer with minimal power.

If its able to do 11.5 at 120 mph with just 400 awhp stock then imagine what its capable of with an extra 120 awhp.

Thats a 10.6 at 128-130 mph gtr against a barely over the stock 550 rwhp (570 rwhp) viper thats a 10.8 at 129-131 mph car.

Good ******* race between two very even cars with excellent footage.

By the way that viper style and year is 3450 pounds. Not 3200 like someone said.

The viper is actually running rich. the viper used to be tuned before when we saw the races against the Z06. used to be at 596whp.

The viper owner said he didnt spin when he first hit it, but it did on the 1st to 2nd shift a little. but his reaction time wasnt perfect on the first run.

The second run was somehow expected but I honestly thought the viper will do better. they slowed down at 170mph (which I believe end of 4th gear in the viper?)

The GTR is no joke like Killemall mentioned especially if modded. both cars have some more power in them but it was a friendly race so it was ok with both. otherwise the GTR could have ran race gas and little more boost and the Viper guy could have put the old (596whp) tune back....

My understanding is that this is an acr with the wing off.

It still has the front conards then?

If so this acts as an air brake to a degree.

Regular viper has a top speed of 202 mph and hits 150 mph in 16.4

Acr viper has a yop speed of 177 mph and hits 150 in 17.5

This acr has the wing off but still the fascia difusser and front conareds so who knows what its top speed or performance is without the rear wing?

 

They were start at 30-40 mph. This is where the gtr shines. If they start the race at 65 mph the viper will literally put 3 lengths on the gtr. Ive been there and done that.

My 485 rwhp viper only put a car on my friends 400 awhp gtr from 30 mph...

Same cars at 60 mph and i walk away very very easily

But you can see the smoke from the viper tires. Those camers did a good job.

 

This 100%. Shitty move in the GTR to honk like an ******* to try and get ahead. Last video says it all. Good races either way.

 

both are my friends and they are good fiends too. this is all in fun. all this was due to adrenaline rushing and thats all. I am pretty sure he didnt mean it. same with the 2nd run, the viper kinda honked fast (not as fast as the GTR) but you get the idea.

 

first run was 25mph. 2nd run was 50mph. first run both were in 1st gear. the second run both were in 2nd.

and yes I think the viper has the full ACR body kit including wheels/suspension too. and yes he took the wing off. GTR had the wing on on those races.

 

Race gas? in a stock turbo GTR? You mean E85? Using E85 the stock turbos are out of their efficient operating range, no less using race gas. I guess you could use some sort of 100 octane blend or MS109. Most just use E85.

The GTR's quick-shifting tranny owns the Viper owner's shifting, my friend. The GTR's can take down some cars that seemingly would pull out the win. They seem to defy logic in a lot of cases...However, I'd take the Viper every day of the week and twice on Sunday!

 

Great races, both cars are badass!

I know people are always quick to accuse someone of cheating or whatever when they honk like that, but I honestly think it's usually just due to people getting caught up in the moment. Not saying some don't try to use it to their advantage, but it's probably accidental 90% of the time.

 

no I mean C16. Yes Stock turbo GTR. people are picking up some power with E85 same with C16? This GTR put down ~556awhp I believe when tuned on C16. not sure what boost though. Yes probably running out of turbo efficiency but this GTR and couple others I know does gain a little more power with race gas and e85. not a huge difference but it does help!
