...it's clear that I am a fan of the LSX platform vehicles....thats why I chose this site, and not www.nismoloversforlife.com ... because, I am indeed a fan, a client, and it's my job(as in paycheck chump). What do you do? I don't go on the nismo sites, trying to change they're minds there,...I could care less. Part of knowing SOMETHING worth while here is based of what I have learned in the field so to speak. I rarely speak out of my ***,...and give someone some lame *** opinion here. If I don't know, i'll simply stfu...cause I have no knowledge of the topic,...why should I portray that I do? Also, do you, or ohio, do you know who Bob Helms is? Whats his best et/trap in his Outlaw 10.5 Viper? Ive never seen a Viper used as a purpose drag car while keeping the V10 in it, it looks interesting as hell and I wonder how far off the pace of the top runners it is. I highly doubt it can, but it would be impressive if a stock block car could keep up with cars running 5.0" bore space solid billet blocks (Lynchmob)

Say V-series, what trans are you running in the Vette? Surely not the T-56 is it? If it is, what did you do to get it to hold 1000hp? Also, with the T-56, its 5th and 6th are both O/D right? So its 5th and 6th gear top speeds would be the same correct?

RA1's-R888's are road race tires...meaning soft compound, stiff sidewall. DR's are soft compound, soft sidewall. You may not notice a difference if your suspension is soft but, the firmer it is, the more tires have an effest on handling. For example, I have coilover suspension,...when I am on the throttle, with drag radials,..the tire sidewalls will want to fold over, the car is squating so hard...so any little steering input from myself, the car feels slightly loose. With road race tires,...it has no feeling like that at all...totally solid. Totally stable. They do work. Again, noticeable with a rigid suspension setup.
I know the car man, it's local. Your comparing two different platforms, two different gear ratios, and i'm guessing different weights. Every mustang I have ever raced runs into an aerodynamic brick wall @ 150 plus,...requiring A LOT more power, just to contend with, say a vette. It's just the way it is. Gearing,....boost,...traction,..aero..power...is the recipe. Ken did a really good job in that mustang though. Props to them for doing the 1/4 and the mile. Always rooting for the locals.

I know the car man, it's local. Your comparing two different platforms, two different gear ratios, and i'm guessing different weights. Every mustang I have ever raced runs into an aerodynamic brick wall @ 150 plus,...requiring A LOT more power, just to contend with, say a vette. It's just the way it is. Gearing,....boost,...traction,..aero..power...is the recipe. Ken did a really good job in that mustang though. Props to them for doing the 1/4 and the mile. Always rooting for the locals.
