LS6 454 Chevelle gets a suprise Well here is how it all started....I walk out of work to warm up my car and sitting in the parking lot is a 71 chevelle that looked really clean...so I walk back into work to finish closing and then I see the chevelle start up and go in front of the the store next to mine. So I go out to my car and the guy revs the engine a little so I do the same. Then another guy in the car is like "yo actually think you are on the same level as this...so I say "I dunno how bout we find out" They start laughing at me. So I was like if its so funny lets go for 100 bucks. They say ok to it and dont even ask to pop hoods so I dont bother to either.... I have them follow me to this secluded road. We both line up at the light then it turns green...First and second we were dead even when I shift to the third I hit the juice(100 shot) by fourth gear I had about 7 cars on him. 
then we pull off to the side of the road and he says "ok what the hell is in it?" So I eventually show him and then he says well look at mine..its a 71 chevelle with a 1970 LS6 motor in it that had a cam and ls7 heads. The guys ask to race me with no juice so I do. The out come I won by 3 cars. It was a fun time and I think that the owner cried a little bit... They were so damn suprised that my little LT1 formula disgraced his big 454. So thats it oh and they paid me 50 bucks which was fine cuz I had fun anyway

haterz! damn man dont hate on a damn muscle car that ruled the roads back then besides isnt this a gm enthusiast website congrats on the win though who wouldnt like beating a big block not to mention the extra 500 pound the guy had i think weight is a huge variable though thats why i drive a small block chevy s-10 besides my'02 ss they both run 11's on all motor

Yeah they definetly thought they were gonna get a win on that one I think.
I know they weigh more and I do have respect for them...but when a guy is talking s*** about a car that is his friends and not even his...its nice to let em know that even 19 year old kids can have a lil sleeper up their sleeves The guys were telling me..."oh this engine has 500 flywheel hp and all that" so I had to find out neither I or the other driver were cocky it was just one of the guys he was with...and yes they did get out of the car before we raced

97M6Formula I dont know what was wrong with the guy driving that car but he should have wipped your ***. Was he riding on little *** tires? I guess Ill have to show you what these LS-6 454s can do. I bring mine by and hand your lowely LT1 its butt.
