Oh I'm sure he didn't have much done, probably on the stock turbo with bolt ons. The race wasn't close but just seeing such a nice GN was very sweet. There is a guy around here named Ronald Palm and he known anything and everything about GNs and has quite a few himself. I saw one of his he said was real fast (it was red). Real nice guy, has a used car lot, and ALWAYS has a GN or two for sale.

I usually go to Fayetteville or a local 1/8 mile in Dunn/Benson. Zmax is a bit of haul for me especially with the gears and gas prices..I have been there though just not with the MACH. Really nice track!

However if my memory servers me correct, the GN would run around 13.8 to 14.2 and the GNX would be a bit faster. You realize that today that is a competition for about a modded 2V or LT1?
Now, I realize it is 20 years old, but that performace today would get beat up pretty good. On the other hand, being FI, it has the potential to be modded so that it makes real good power. That is just the beauty of FI. The MACH 1 is N/A with a small V8 and running close to a full second faster than a GN. I think you have to put things into perspective. If you ran an SC MACH (centri or Roots) style, you might have been seeing tailight yourself. SC kits today are readliy available and pretty affordable for the average joe.

I come on to LS1Tech becuase I use to own a 2001 Z28 and I loved that car...and for the record, SVTP looks down on eveyone unless you have an 03/04 Cobra. Even the new 5.0 guys are having their trouble being accepted there.

My car is running the stock tire, stock gear, well it was on those passes. Your e.t. comes from your mega clutch dump on slicks with 4.56's which it can barely pull past 1000 ft by looking at your slip.
My converter went in today, next time out will be 11's. How many Mach 1's hit 11's with 3 basic bolt-ons?

What other major mustang forums(not necessarily cobra) are out there?
You can find the 05+ GT's for super cheap these days, they make for pretty comfy cruisers, I might wanna hunt down one.

You are running mid 12's and are already at number 18?
I honestly think it's funny you need longtubes and an automatic to run mid 12's. Hell I'm trying to see what I can do without longtubes since they would gain the most out of all the bolt ons I can see.
