[QUOTE=****** srt8;16382648] That didn't say hero run drivers, says more experienced drivers. Meaning that those passes they made was not the best driver so Why would they say that? is because many has been low 13s with a stock Mach 1 just takes a experienced driver obviously
All the times in the article were different but I found this in one of them .....(We did have a chance to test our five-speed Mach 1 press vehicle on the dragstrip, making a pair of back-to-back passes during a Bradenton (Florida) Motorsports Park test and tune day. Forgetting to turn off the traction control on the first run resulted in a time-killing bog when the rear tires spun on the first-to-second shift, although we were impressed the car still managed a 13.81 at 102.40. With the traction control off on the next pass, the Mach 1 responded with a 13.54 at 103.14. We've heard about other Mach 1s dipping into the 13.20s with more experienced drivers.)

Are we calling hero runs the standard? If so my car is a 12.5 car stocK!

I'm not doubting that STOCK Mach 1s will run low 13s with a competent driver. I’m sure that most, same as with the SRTs, are running worse than low 13s. Earlier in this thread, there were arguments where Mach drivers were claiming the typical runs were in the 12s. Contrary to popular belief, the SRTs are not easy to launch especially the autos. At least the manuals can feather out the clutch. The autos will just pour the power on. They simply have more torque than tire to support getting the weight moving. I feel like I’m on my old YZ250 two stroke when I’m driving. Not enough revs and it barely moves. Yet when it is in its power band on the launch, it immediately spins or starts to step out but still doesn’t move. LOL

LOL Doesn't take much to hit 12s in a Mach since this debate is all over ls1tech I been researching a lot on the Mach. It's going to come down to what you prefer this is the real world and I'm sure going to be different outcomes on both win or lose but both cars are average 13sec cars either way you look at it.

Like I have said before, If I had disposable income or a smaller family I would still be driving Mustangs.
