LOL I had a 305 3rd gen and so did a lot of people I used to know. We all dumped them for LS1's. They were reliable as hell but god were they slow.

lmao!! I used to have a carb'd 350 in another 280Z awhile back and when I blew that up a former friend and I stuck a stock 305 in it just to get me around until rebuild. The Z was pretty light (~2675), but even at that weight the 305 could only push my car to a 13.8 @ 99 best. An LS car would rape it lol.

i can't see any well driven 6spd LT1 z28 losing to this car...i did say well driven, never heard second, my LT1 rips second and it's a stock auto..a '93 formula or z28 6spd. were good for a 13.8-14.0 showroom stock...the z needs the driver mod...as BAT TA said they were slow, i sold a lady a new '90 t/a with the TBI 305...170hp. auto....talk about being slow, beautiful car, but that was about it...could not spin the tires...Jremix81...yes this was funny...lolol..

The best time in my Camaro with the old 305 was a 13.6, but it had a mild cam among other things. It ran door to door with a brand new Auto 96 LT1 T/A, but it never pulled one.

But, either way that kid is a moron.

I remember back in the day when I was 14 my cousins and I thought my old 2003 Eclipse 4 banger was quick and my cousin's buddy's 305 3rd gen was fast. Ohh, the younger years!
