I run 127-128mph in the heat at 10.47-10.50 and 10.39@129mph in decent air.. Did I mention I don't think i'm making 600rwhp either and I know I weigh more than that Mustang does..

Scott Cushman (formaly of VT Engines) went 9.20 at 145 in his "destroked 5.4". 324 ci. Made 750hp. Stock suspension. Car only made 1 pass off the trailer then ripped the torque boxes from the body. Then the poop hit the fan when the company he worked for went bankrupt and he was out a job. So the car sat.
Al Papito went 9.36 in his 5.4 97 cobra. Not the lightest car but he made over 600rwhp.

Nitrous is always an option. I had a 5spd '98 years ago that I had to pull the motor out of, and I got a killer deal so I swapped the cams/intake for PI pieces. Made a huge difference, but I still had the stock heads/gears. Would have been a totally different animal.

Both my Mustangs sounded like sex. The '98 had either a MAC O/R H or a Bassani catted X, cherry bombs (previous owner), and turn downs. The '01 had equal-length BBK shorties, Bassani catted X, and Borla XR-1 exhaust.

Borla XR-1 sounds ridiculous on a 2v. A local had one with LT's & X-pipe with some kind of cams. Arguably the best sounding Mustang I have ever heard.

Termi-swap would have been nice. I was reluctant when I purchased mine but fell in love with the Bullitt appearance scheme. They didn't offer one in Sonic Blue so I did an exact clone minus the Bullitt emblems.
