First kill in a looooong time no video sorry folks. On my way home with my gf in my pretty much stock camaro (in sig), and a dude with an 05-09 mustang gt wants to play. So we end up catching a light with no exchange, he wouldn't even look over. I thought he might not want to run from a dig, but i hit it anyway when the light turned green. I spun a tad bit and he was door to door with me, but once i hit second gear (i'm an A4 to his M5) it was all over. Just a nice, steady pull and i shut down when i saw that there was maybe a half car between him and my rear bumper.
All in all it was pretty exciting since i have pretty much just got my car back on the road after sitting for 8 years lol. It was a lot of fun!! But i must ask, i thought 3v mustangs ran pretty decent compared a basically stock ls1 automatic camaro?

I don't think so, in fact I think you could have pulled him harder. I outran a 05-09 GT in my completely stock LT1 Corvette, and my car is defintely not as fast as an LS1 Camaro.

lol well i knew it was gonna get worse when i saw the distance growing as fast as it did. the funny thing was though, when i started to spin off the initial hit, i got out of it and thought he really wasn't gonna play. heard him chirp second, i mashed it back down into 1st gear, then that's when i saw the distance get bigger and bigger
Good kill OP. No surprise you pulled away assuming the GT was stock.
Are you sure about that? The LT1 6 speed Vette should be very close to a LS1 automatic Camaro in straight line performance.

'05-'09 Mustangs are a tad slower then a LS1 Fbody. If he didn't jump out on you from the stop, he wasn't going to come around you. Auto's do just fine from a dig, but from a roll you had better be in a good spot in the rpm range or it could have been a different story.
