My car ran great at 460whp. Beat several cammed fbody's and trapped best of 122. Ran best of 11.4 with a better driver in better weather then j was able to do in middle of summer with TX 100* weather. I ran 11.8@119. That was on DR's at that and at a shitty track. Hell a 5.0 with bolt ons that is your race weight, with a faceplanted tranny just like you just went 10.29. Yet you engine swapped 3000lb fbody isn't even close. Yet you act like your car is special. So looks like the 5.0 is doing great. And on the street there is many running just as good.

Seems like your bolt-on car keeps getin faster as time goes on. So your tellin us a stock 5.0 just went 10.29 in a STREET car and NOT a DRAG car. How fast do you think MY ls6 would go in a DRAG car with a 1.50 60?.....probably be right beside YOUR BLOWN 5.0.

You know you must really suck if your BLOWN 5.0 can't keep up with that 10.29 car you just spit out at us.

What did you car weigh when you made 460whp and trapped 122?

He trapped 117 with his car. The shop runnin trapped 119. You must remember the record for a bolt-on 5.0 is 124 in a pure race car.....atleast according to the article I read in a Ford mag. We're talkin little drag brakes, no options full drag set-up.

Nope not getting faster. I ran what I did in it. 11.8@117-119. Buddy took it and ran what he did.

My blown car with 620whp, full interior and 3800lbs went 10.60@131. No creative weight reduction. Just tires.

And that car that went 10.29 weighs same thing as you said you do.

My car just went 6.62@104 with a 1.43 60ft. Still at 620whp tune.

How is it a built 5.0. Its a completely stock sealed engine. That isn't built. But keep trying to find reasons why your engine swapped faceplanted gutted car is slower then a bolt on 5.0.

Oh my bad your not gutted you just hacked up everything.

Amen......... Would love to see it go faster then the bolt on c6z record car. Maybe with a boss mani and some more weight out it could get the job done

Quoted from SVT thread....

"Let me be clear up front. This is not a street car, and in no way are we claiming its a street car. This is a purpose built race car."

If you read they state he could still drive on the street. It also don't change fact its a stock 5.0 engine with bolt ons, weight reduction,

I did.
But comparing it to Hio's car is a bit silly.

How is it? He has hacked his car up to lose weight. Cut the k member, faceplanted the tranny, engine swap, etc etc. No more then they have done to that car.

Look at video.from inside it still even has a dash.

Must be a hell of task to get a 3620 down to about 3000. My car is 3380 without driver from factory and im trying to figure out how to get 300lbs out of it lol. I am more than sure its no Daily driveable car. 600lbs is not joke to remove.

Hio's car is not set up for 1/4 mile its actually set up for handling. Its ET in 1/4 mile are not ideal for its power(though members feel other wise-imagine that car not lowered,no front sway bar, coil overs, rear drag bar,a real rear etc),has all sway bars on,suspension is not set up for hooking from a dig(ie springs,LCAs)working ac,working heat, working ps,stock sized wheels, has full stereo in it,back seats blah blah. Can pass state inspection. Apples to oranges in my opinion...

Now in terms of curb weight yes they are comparable.
