H/c Ta vs bolt on 5.0 and C6
#282
I own the 5.0 and I agree the t/a has a lot of potential but so does my car , the bottom line is ls1 cars are old technology , even if an all out h/c car beat my full bolt on car by 4-5 cars I'd still consider that a compliment because my cars heavier and has 50 less ci , and when I crack my motor open and do heads and cams in my car (which I will do eventually) I will rip the doors of that same ls1 that walked me before

Logic 101:
You can pick either of the two engines to put into a car, both making the close power/torque do you pick the lighter, smaller one or the bigger heavier one?

the gen 5 is going to be nasty. the base engine is going to be a minimum of 450\450, and it also makes at least 50 more ft\lbs of tq from idle to 4000 rpm. the torque curve is rediculously flat, gaining only 50 ft\lbs from 2000rpm to peak.
