Camaro's are trash compared to Eclipse
just thought I would show a Camaro forum this, it all started over a forum www.mogomoss.com or www.helixracing.com. It was about DSM: Eclipses, Talon's Lasers, vs the WRX, then one of the Eclipse owners e-mailed a moderator and told him his car is slow, and to never dis the AWD Eclipses, because they always crush V8's

Their forum trashes the V8 and tells us about how they all run times in the quarter mile, which apparently are faster street wise, then drag AWD ever has been, I just thought I would tell fellow Camaro fans, so I don't have to listen to my Camaro be dissed by false facts. I own a 1999 Camaro SS, and love it, but I do respect other cars.

There that should work. Thanks for telling me.
ok ok. while i'm sure that there are, somewhere, a couple street legal imports that can "hand a lingenfelter 427tt it's ***", i can bet money this guy has never seen one, and certainly doesn't own one.

DSMs are nice cars. I almost bought one. I've got a friend who's bro has an 11second dsm, I know what the cars can do... but that forum honestly is reminding me of the SRT-4 guys in a BAD way.

tell him to do 20 hole shots in a row and laugh your *** off when he spills his tranny bits all over. i just hate how people dont realize yes im fast but theres some one faster. or this kind is my favorite
"this person is running 10's (9grand in mods) so i can at least do 11's (all stock dsm)"
lol
my favorite thing to pull on the dsm people is to ask them what they think about domestics and then here them ripping them appart not realizing that dsm is in actuality dimond star motors a joint effort between christler and mitsubichi, of witch the US got fucked!!!
update
i just tryed to log on at there sight and came up with an error that they are not accepting any new memeberships
i wanted to point out that every once in a while you run across a car that has more potential than any one gives them credit for and the dsm's my possibly be one of thouse cars. but you cant go around bitching that people are bias dumbasses and then in the same breath say that your car will crush theres when you dont know **** about there car. stupid double standard **** talking tools

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

Diamond Star Motors was a joint venture back in the late 80s/early 90s between Chrysler and Mitsubishi (perhaps before one semi-owned the other). The combination produced the talon/eclipse/laser (tradiationally refered to collectively as "DSMs"), as well as the stealth/3000gt, and i believe a minivan pair of twins as well.
the plymouth laser, eagle talon, and mitsubishi eclipse are all the same car. every single one of them ever made came off the same assembly line in Normal, Illinois, USA. The turbo and awd turbo cars had a mitsubishi engine, but the n/a cars had the same engine as the dodge neon (yes, an american engine in a mitsubishi eclipse).
the line between "import" and "domestic" is really blurred by the DSMs. i remember hearing a couple years back about some import shootout, where one of the fastest guys showed up in a 1g eagle talon, and they wouldnt let him race... claiming it was a domestic. he left, and came back a little while later after switching badging on his car to "eclipse", and they let him in. retarded.
.
the stock sohc 3.0l that came in the van orrigionaly was the same block they used in the dohc twin turbo they threw in the stealths and 3000gt's. bolted right up to the auto tranny in the van then it was just a matter of spegitty and cpu's.
dident mean to .
Who the **** cares dude?!
I am tired of all these random links thrown in our Street racing section. Put it in the BS area. Nobody here wants to read this crap.
They can talk all the **** they want on their little internet forums, unfortunately, when it comes to real life all they see is tail-lights, and all they can do is go back on their internet forum and make up a story about how they won.
One of the mods please close this dumbass thread.

"97 GS-T vs. 2002 Camaro
So my friend just bought a 2002 Camaro, it's the 6cyl one. We decided to race after work today to see what his newly bought car was capable of. My cars mods : 1st gen bov, manual boost controller, intake, catback exhaust. His car is completely stock.
We raced from a stop and I easily got a 1 1/2 car length on him. However, when I get to about 5000 RPM @ 3rd gear he just passes me like nothing. I expected more from my car, oh well.
Anyone else have any similar encounters w/ Camaros?
Do you guys think I'll be able to beat him w/ a small 16g?"
