Just wonder if you noticed how great progress was over that 2v pos you started with.

That's exactly what I meant about changing things in his head so that GM always comes out on top.

And by hole shot you mean left on the 2nd honk as it was stated by the OP.

12.1 for a 5.0 and 11.7 for a boss. So it still loses to stock n/a mustangs. Good to know.

I call it like I see it, if a GM engine is better (LS) then I will admit it without saying some kind of slanted argument to put it down in the same paragraph.

I'm not even talking about the race in the video because there is way to much room for speculation.

They are better. That's why you can buy a k member to put a ls in a Mustang. Get over it. Although fords new stuff is pretty good.

This race is the one in question.

Smh always these stupid arguments. COMING FROM A GM GUY....the ZL1 has in no way impressed me. I would rather own a 2013 GT500.

Good race though, cool to see the two cars go at it on the street vs. in a magazine.

Two guys at work bought ZL1s. I set up a race recently with another coworker who has a cammed C6 ls2 (451rwhp). From a 20 roll it was pretty dang close. I thought the C6 would of walked up top but it stayed even the whole way.

Maybe I should just line up my bolt-on 5.0 up against both cars and come away with a big smile and a much lighter wallet.

No doubt that would happen, lots of guys could say that.....but both of these cars are pretty damn amazing. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Alot of guys on here act like the ZL is a dog. This vid shows where both cars are better or worse in the 1/4. Which looks about right to me.

For some reason it butt hurt the Ford crowd that the ZL stayed as close as it did.

Wayyyy too much nutswinging in here on both sides. I guess the ford guys I can understand, since they've only had something in the last few years actually be impressive (5.0, and the 13' gt500) but c'mon ls guys, the gt500 is clearly a faster car. If some of you keep throwing out excuses you sound like ricers, and gt-r owners. I'm a GM guy for life, but the new gt500 is a monster.

Oh, before I'm attacked, the 03-04 cobras too. Gm has had the faster car for
awhile. It about time ford stepped it up. Hopefully it'll wake up the guys at GM.

HP and weight matters more than CI. I like the Cobra too.

15.0-15.3 lbs is more like 15lbs, not 16. Just saying.

Irrelevant though being that is doesnt even make 15lbs in stock form...
