update on buddies challenger R/T
Well it finally happened this weekend for those of you that were waiting for the results. For those who havent followed my last post on this...my 99 Camaro SS M6 with MTI intake and exhaust, built trans by Texas drivetrain performance and 373 gears. His challenger R/T, auto, completely stock. We did a 50 punch and I dropped into 2nd. He honked, 3rd honk I laid into it immediately jumping in front of him. grabbed 3rd gear and didnt pull him to hard. By the end of 3rd his front bumper was at my driver door. Grabbed 4th (for those who have an M6 know 4th pulls hard) and started to yank him. I shut it down at top of 4th gear with his front bumper 1/2 car behind me. I say it was a good kill and it shut him and his wife up quick.

Yeah, you definitely should have had him by more with your minimal mods and him being stock. If you were stock I could see this outcome, but you should have killed him especially with your gears.

good kill.
I ran a stock m6 rt car when I had a lid and muffler only and pulled 2 cars before shifting to 4th. this was even after he took the hit (spun it away but nonetheless). I spun too. low 1st gear roll. I think it's be downright ugly for that car to see the ta now lol

good kill! i personally love challengers. I was originally getting rid of my h/c/i t56 9in fbody to get one. I'm a mopar guy at heart. But those damn things are battle ships. Motors make good power buy thats a good amount of steel to get going. Dodge needs to get their heads out of their asses and take the new 392. 470/470 and throw it in a 3400-3700lb car.

Should be a good race and I think closer then some people might credit it. Take vids and let us know. Otherwise...
Either way, good run. Had this been one of the older ones, I would have expected you to walk away. The newer ones, I'd give a bit more credit to, but not enough to win.
Sounds like its time to mod-up either way.
