didnt mean to start a pissing contest, just kinda disappointed i think when the time comes i will probably pick up a z06 or cts-v though. i was hell bent on the 5th gen but after seeing it roll out im leaning more towards the latter. ive test drove all 3, and i didnt care for the z06 as far as ride, but loved the feel of the cts-v and the camaro.
on a side note by the time that time comes i will probably have the ws6 a full blown trailer queen so im not even gonna hold my breath

Here you guys go.
This is true...I found a brand new tremec TR6060 z06 trans, OEM ZL1 forged wheels, 3:91 gear, zl1 axles, zl1 wheel bearings, mono-tube shocks, larger sway bars, zl1 twin fuel pumps, flat bottom suede steering wheel, short throw shifter wrapped in suede, and front slitter all for under $3500. How could anyone justify the 1le with everything it comes with for the ridiculous premium of $3500. Geez...some people are just stupid with money.

LOL Kind of an unfair comparison, but I'll agree. I've test drove the 5th gens and their windshields are horrible. Its like looking thru venetian blinds. However, they are indeed nice cars if you can get past that.

I see out of 5th gens fine in all directions....maybe you guys should try looking threw the windsheild instead of at the dash or roof. If you wanna not see try looking out the back of a new Mustang. But if you wanna see really well and be surrounded by heavy glass then you panzies should look into a minivan.....lol

I drive my coworkers 2011 SS once in a while, vision isn't really a problem. Interior space is vastly superior but the dash is a little hard for me to get used to. I also think it was a mistake to hide the oil pressure gauge down where I can see it without taking my eyes off the road, maybe I'm too used to 4th gens but I watch oil pressure religiously. Honestly with a minor interior change and a massive weight loss I would rock a 5th gen.

I always tell people this...along a long time line you can always buy a cheaper older car and put money into it so that its faster than the newer one at a lower price. But here is the thing. The 2013 ss has to come in with more emission controls. More saftey feature. More weight to meet the fed requirements. Plus I owned a 99 ss and it wasnt that comfy for the passanger with the hump on the floor pan. They are noisy on the road and have a solid rear end. Now if you want to road race the potnetial is higher for a 2010+ cam to be faster than an ss from before. But if you want to drag race you want solid rears and light weight. So yah the older lighter solid rear axle car is better. I go from ford truck to ss to g8 almost weekly and can tell you that you don't even notice the limited visability after a while. Different strockes for different folks. I will always want an orange or 35th ann ss. But just to have for nice t-top cruise days. Wouldn't own one for a daily driver. Just my .02 cents!

The field of view is definitely less than my CTS-V, for sure. Surprisingly less. That was the only real drawback of the car. When you want to just look forward, knock yourself out, it works. But using it in real life, in a city like NYC where **** comes at you from all directions, constantly, whether the light is green or not... Didn't like driving it in the city. My opinion.

Yes! lol
My 2010 SS was fun to drive on occasion but we ultimately traded it in on a new Chrysler 300c and I haven't looked back once. Sure the Camaro was faster, but the 300 is a much better car for DD duties.
