Default state trooper got his *** beat.

the other day i was on an area highway and was cruisin down the feeter rd and hit a light. A state trooper in a z-28 pulled up next to me. All i could do was think how bad it would be to have a job as a cop patrolling in a ls1. Anyways he asked if i wanted to run em and at first i hesated knowing in the back of my mind he wasa a trooper. But when the light turned green he cut em loose so i did aswell. Luckily i just invested in nittos and by time we hit 120 i had him by about 6 or7 lenghs. It was bad ***

from what I hear there is a cop in a blue car (wasnt told what it was) that has a 454 on it that's always on the highway I race on...never seen it (knock on wood). And I KNOW there is a red with black stripes 67 SS totally tricked out with a disc conversion all around and a 396 supposedly tricked out that is a D.A.R.E. car

Yeah in Louisville the State Troopers and the local police both have ls1 Camaro's, I've seen pretty much every color made except for SOM. Plus a few Tahoe's and one or two F150's. When I was still working, there was a local cop that drove a red '01 Camaro, that came in every day to just browse around, and he said if he ever saw me out he wanted to run me. I unfortunately never ran into him.

Damm I was thnking about moving back to home town of Baltimore. it's good to know about the LS1 troopers.

I quess us Nashville, TN guys are lucky the higway patrol can't afford LS1's here and if they did most of the troopers are senoir citizens not that I'm sayiing that is a bad thing.

There's always cops in the LOWER 1/2 of Texas that loves doin that stuff...my dad raced one back in 93 when he his 93 Cobra and had a buncha stuff on it....then back when I had my 355 D1X Blown AFR Headed LT1, 2001 or so I was headed up to Enis Tx for a race weekend and there was an LS1 cop that wanted to play on I10 just outside of Katy Tx....guess he didn't hear the blower and see the gauges or cage in the car...he punched his car jumped ahead, and with my 4400 vig in my built 4L60E I just put the peddle on the floor got side ways let off slightly to get my rear under me and then @ roughly 120-130 he was 10-12 cars behind me. I pulled over at the next exit into a service station and he followed...he got out and had a look on his face I'd never seen before and asked me what the hell I had....I popped my hood and just let him look....he said next time he won't play w/a car that's whistling.

Most cops are nice. They're people to, at the end of the day they go home just like you and I. I think it's neat that we live in a country where this is possible. I used to have a serious burr up my *** towards law enforcement, til' I had my near fatal car accident. That changed everything including dying. Yep, Texas is a state of mind, even if its' drivers have attitude problems towards each other on the road.
