So todays weather was awesome.. decided to cruise around and look for a race. I saw 3 worthy opponents 03 Cobra, Corvette Z06, and a Viper RT10 (viper looked like it was fixed up). All of them were on the other side of the street/highway and I tried to chase them all but unfortunately I couldnt find them.

So I drive back home and see a Suzuki GSXR 1000. It looked CLEAN and it was one of the newer models. So I ask him if he wants to race and he asks "how much you got?" I said I race just for fun. He follows me to the highway and we do a second gear roll (OF COURSE I turned the bottle on and purged it a bit thinking I scared his ***. HAH! yeah Right.)

Up to date the kills I made on spray were:
-2002 Z06: put 4 car lengths on him from 2nd gear roll to mid 4th (this same owner beat a yamaha R1 from a roll 2nd-4th. He is also my roommate and best friend).

-2004 Porsche 911 turbo: put 4 car lengths on him from a high 2nd gear roll to high 4th. Also raced this guy from a dead stop and beat him on green. The 02 Z06 owner also raced this guy and beat him by a car length and a half from a 2nd gear roll.

So I thought racing a suzuki 1000 should be a good run. I mean it couldnt be THAT much faster than an R1 right? I mean if R1s couldnt even beat Z06s from a roll, what are the chances of the suzuki 1000 beating me? Not much really right?

We race from roll again the usual 2nd to 4th gear and he WALKS AWAY. WTF? I race him again 2nd to 4th and he puts about 3 cars on me by the time I BARELY hit 4th! DAMN! He .

I ask him to pull over and have a chat. The owners seemed to be a cool guy. Only it turns out that the son of a gun has a cam in his bike! makes me kinda wish I had a 150 shot instead of the 100 shot

Yup. No matter how fast you go theres always someone faster out there.

I wonder what this guy could do to R1s!

Overall. Good run. Im glad I raced him. I also asked him if he thinks I could beat stock gsxr 1000s and he said he doesnt think so? . He must not know how fast his bike is! but then... I dont know.. maybe ill see those one day and find out.. but I doubt I wont be faster than he is by then

I never have understood why people wanna race bikes, they're so damn fast. If I had a bike wanna race me I'd tell him to get lost and go race another bike. A bike and a car racing just doesn't seem right to me, we just don't compare.

Up until the latest R1, the Gixxer was quite a bit faster. High 9s compared to low-mid 10s for the R1. I still think the R1 should have been able to beat pretty much anything on the street. Even a decent rider should be able to pull mid 11s at worst.

A Z06 wouldn't have a chance with a R1, without some serious mods.

to my suprise but i did have a chance.. the guy saw a car trying to race him and he thought it'll be a piece of cake and tried to pop a standing wheelie... well he turned out to be wrong.. i raced a 750 gixxer too and he tried to do the same thing but couldnt get the wheelie up right.. and he got beat.. he even gave me a thumbs up

a street roll(especially from a second gear) is not comparable to drag times... so dont confused urself with those..

I walked a GSXR 1000 with my Z06, but she aint quite stock. The bike owner told me it had 160rwhp, I really do not know if that is alot for this bike or not? Needless to say he was a bit suprised.

My girlfriend raced a TL1000 from a stop and a roll...beat him both times in my car (the bike had a shitty rider)...

I was set up with an older sport bike, looked like an old iron bike at first...something like a 1990 1000, it had a big header, muzzy pipe, strapped front, sticky tire....oops.

I raced him at 30 psi in the rear tires, and got spanked by about 4 cars, same on a roll....he was a god rider

I kind of thought it was just some old iron bike at first, boy was I wrong.... the owner said it runs mid 10's at the locak track...

I REALLY need to get my juice on for these big bikes...

I raced a guy on the way back from that race, a 04 CBR600RR (yellow) from a roll and beat him....that rider sucked as well, couldnt pull even with me from a roll...this guy raced me last year in an older YZF600, and I spanked him from a stop and roll....with bikes it takes a god rider to come CLOSE to posted times...I think that CBR600RR runs 10.6 in the magazines, but couldnt catch up to a mid 11 second car with a shitty rider!!

My girl also killed an 04 cobra by many car lengths from a stop, and she had to get out of it twice because of wheel spin.

TL1000's are v-twins, and really aren't that fast. I was looking at a '98 before I got my bike, and they only have like 102 hp. Plus with the v-twin they are pretty heavy. They look pretty sweet, though. BTW-nice death and I'm curious to see how you'll fare with the 150 shot!

Thanks for the responses guys.. to be quite honest I dont know that much about bikes as far as what they can do from a roll. So I figured I'd try it anyway.

Did anyone catch the video of the supercharged viper being slaughtered by a whole bunch of busas (stock and otherwise)? He supposedly had 900 RWHP too.

The older 600's go down to a lightly modded LS1 from a roll, but the new ones are bad ***. Don't bother with the newer bikes unless you have at least 500 at the wheels.

Yes!!! I've seen it. One of the most awesome vids ever. Your talking about the one with the black viper right? There was one busa who I think was spraying and just literally "FLEW" away.

I know from experience that Busa's are incredibly fast and if you hit it too hard it might be real hard to hold on

I can't believe you guys are underestimating bikes by so much.

A Z06 will not beat an R1 with a decent driver. No way in hell. R1s are crazy fast.

Most bikes are fast, but the 1000+s are pure insanity. I want an R1 so bad.
