Idk about you but i was seriously impressed with how hard that gt500 was able to pull on that z06. Idc what dyno numbers say, a bolt on cammed c6 z is a serious car on the highway...

i laughed when i saw the cammed c6z put down only 515. the motor i just bought (LS7) out of my buddy's c6z put down 550 with just the cam, a vararam, and arh 1 7/8" LTs...

although any cammed c6z is nasty, this one is on the lower end of the spectrum. so in all fairness, i totally expected that rape coming.

So it's pretty much common knowledge that it takes the old 03-04 cobras an extra 80-120whp to pull 4th gen's.

So is there a new comparison between GT500's & C6Z's? it takes an extra 200whp?

Whats up with these GT500's are they dyno queens? What's really happening, they aren't thaaaat heavy. I assume it's a combo of weight plus aero plus heat soak losses. Is the dyno creating inaccurate numbers by not accurately simulating a true load? This is a legit question, not trying to be an ***.

I just don't get impressed with cars that dyno huge numbers, put down slow times for their power level, and then defend themselves by saying how fast they are from a roll... Its pathetic.

I just realized I wrote it like that. Haha..aeroforce gauge will read timing and plugs into the obd port.. Widebands for his a/f with the aeroforce gauge also. But his car don't come with widenands stock. Like the 5.0 and 2011+ GT500.

Its a combination of heavy weight, undergeard, no suspension, crappy tires and bad drivers. I made 2 crappy passes and I know this from how the car runs outside the track its not excuses its the truth.

my brothers pullied, light bolton 03 cobra has pulled on cammed and even heads/cam 4th gens and it only puts 455hp to the wheels.i dont think they need 80-120 more rwhp to pull a 4th gen. but i agree they do need more power and i also find it weird that some of the rediculously high powered GT500's and 03 Cobras just dont run like you would think they would. I would also add the 5th gen Camaros in there as well. some of them approaching 500rwhp or more are having trouble with 5.0's making 415rwhp. I know theyre heavier but not THAT much heavier.

im sure the aerodynamics of the 4th gens and Corvettes help them alot as well.

My car makes 530 I beat a 4th gen making ~480 so 50 was plenty in a heavier car.

So, your 530rwhp car is still running 12s.

I realize it isn't dialed in yet, but damn, my old bolt-on LT1 with less than half the power was knocking on 12's its first time to the 1/4 in 2700DA, humid summer night, with bald DRs on OEM 17x9" zr1 wheels with the stock 17x9 275/40/17 ws6 wheel and tire up front.

Those things must be hard to hook up with the factory suspension.

Damn, you got me. My jet ski does 0-30 in under 2 seconds?

Truck just serves as the toy hauler and winter beater. Love it in Iowa winters. Hasn't been in 4wd yet
