Default Interesting story from dad! z28 vs gto

Gave my parents a call after class today. Dads been looking after my car for me while I'm here at tech school. The weather was nice for the first time this year, so he decided to make a circle in it. He told me he came up on a nice red gto headed out of town so he got up next to him to see if he'd want to run them. They seemed to agree on a 35 so he honked and to his surprise he stopped his pull and began to pull away. He said he shut it down about 120 and thought maybe the goat had stopped around 100. Both went on about their business. I've missed my car going on 4 months now, was nice hearing someone was enjoying it as much as I use too! Sure did make me laugh thinking about my 60 year old dad giving her hell though.

Made my day, figured I'd share the story!

Sounds like my Dad. He was following me in my 95Z28 A4 and I was in my 00 SS. Both cars are intake exhaust. Always give me **** and says don't believe the number's people tell you when I tell him my SS is in the 350rwhp range. So he pulls up next to me and says lets see if those LS are as great as you say. Launched around 3500 and let the 315 Toyos do there thing. Freight trained him lol!

Nice remote kill! I'm 42 with a 21 year old son who is now getting into cars so I can see both sides of this story: pure awesome!

I see that ALOT from older guys: they just refuse to believe how strong new cars are. Like those 80's era ladies who keep wearing that godawful 80's haircut, they just refuse to think things could possibly get that much better then what they did/had.

Good ol Sheppard ! I was there in 95' for 6 months. I've never raced my dad either. The closest we've had to owning cars that were worth racing was my 04' STi and his 90' Vette. We never lined them up but I did race my brother in laws 92' Vette and destroyed him. My dad and I are now building 74' 260z's with LSx engines. Both will be turbo but with different setups !

Nice. My dad's laid some rubber down in mine and even got taken to jail because of it about five years ago. He used to race his supercharged bonneville against crown Vic's back when he was a police officer years ago. Said he waxed his buddies asses. Kinda funny he finally gets "beat" by a young punk state trooper.

Awesome story. My dad loves to drive my Buick. The first time I let him drive it, to the supermarket none the less, he enters our street sideways, pulls in our driveway, gets out, tosses me the keys, and says "this thing really screws!"

When I was there it was nothing but ricers and their tardmobiles. But then again, I was a tard in my bone stock 350Z too.

Great Story! I wish my dad was still around!

My father and I built my Formula and he couldn't keep it anymore so I bought it off him... I let him take my car out for a date and he comes back telling me how he did a 180 in the middle of the street to try to get a stray dog... hahaha... I remember him driving me to school as a kid and racing some punks in a Chevelle and destroying them right in front of my highschool.
