Just ran a newer Cobra
I was coming home from work a while ago and saw a pewter '03-'04 Cobra as I was crossing an intersection. A few miles down the road, he catches up and cruises a few feet behind me in the other lane. As we approach a light, he revs and my foot instantaneously steps on the gas pedal to return the gesture. His car had a few gauges on the A-pillar and as soon as we come to a stop, he pulls a dyno sheet out his window. I've never seen that done before, but he had a nice car to back it up. I ask how much he's putting down as the light turns green, and he yells back 5xx rwhp. It had a healthy exhaust tone and by his actions, I knew he was game for a friendly run. We slow down and let traffic get ahead. Once there is enough room, we both downshift. I'm in 1st at about 35mph and I think he is too. He honks and we go on the third honk. We get a pretty even start, I spin a little on my bald nittos, and he seems to get good traction. He gets about 1 car on me by the end of 1st, shift into 2nd and we're coming up on traffic, I let out at the top of 2nd (about 70mph) and he has about 1 1/2 cars on me when I start to hit the brakes. We didn't get a chance to pull over and shoot the ****, but I gave him a thumbs up as I pulled up to him later. I didn't even get his mods, but I'm guessing atleast pulley swap. I know it was a really short race (if it can even be called that), but it's all the room we had. So now I'm 2-1 against post '03 Cobras.

I see the dyno sheet thing as something a ***** would do. He probably used to get owned a lot in his old vehicle. Sounds like he's got a bad *** ride, there's no need to be dickish about it. That's like pulling out your bank statement at a Mcdonalds. Anyways, good loss, sounds like you've got a good runner as well!

Good death. I hope for his sake he just came back from getting it dynoed. Why the hell else would he have it ready to show someone. Seems pretty cheesey.

SOme guys here do that at the spot where we hang out...one Cobra guy has sheets showing 617 rwhp on pump gas and something like 817 on race gas....he got beat by a couple of cars with MUCH less power....and a supra had some 744 rwhp dyno sheets, and he wouldnt race me from a dig (and HE had ET Streets on and I had radials)....
I think "dyno sheet" is Latin for "I EAT ****"

He seemed like an ok guy, just the dyno sheet pulling was kinda lame. No doubt, hitting the purge at that time would have been awesome. All I need is the actual nitrous kit.
