I think I confused it with the R. It's probably in the 120's... but again, a roll race with a bike is different than simple mph in the 1/4... aero is a bikes worst enemy at speed.

To be honest i dont even see them trapping that much. Aero wont hurt a bike at 40 mph... at 120+..yes.. but not 40. My Guess is its around a 116 mph bike. You pulled on it off the hit and just left it

http://www.sportrider.com/bikes/146_..._street_bikes/

looks like around 120mph.... no wonder I walked him that hard. The newer 05-07 or so 600's look like mid-high 120's bikes, or knocking at 130.. a roll race would be more fun with one of those. Hopefully I will be able to get one on video soon.

I just looked some specs up. Looks like they do right around 115-116 in the quarter.

60-120 in 8.5 seconds
60-130 in 11.62

I have run 1/8th mile so far, but my 20" 555rs do not hook good at all at the track. Best 60ft so far is 1.75, but mostly 1.9's. Also having issues with 1-2 grind(think my clutch is not fully disengaging on wot shift). My et so far sucks... mid 7.5s.. mph around 99mph. Car is good for low 7's at its current mph I would think.. 1/4, I think it should run mid 11 range, maybe lower @125mph or so.

I have a set of Racestar 15x10's that I will be mounting a set of Et Street Pro's on once I put a Mcleod RXT in the car.. hopefully the shifting issue will go away with the clutch change.
Here are the rims I have ready to put tires on.. I think they will go good with the black car:

Its bedtime... will jump on here tomorrow when I can. Trying to talk the 636 guy into a fun run.

I had an 06 ZZR600 (Same engine as a 2000 ZX6R). Was rated at 98hp. With a jet kit i went 122mph. Bike the OP raced might go 118 with a good rider.

60-130 in 11.62

Not fast compared to what? New bike? Probably. A new 600 would have just been a little closer to my rear bumper than he was.

lol
And I dont know about the bike, but I hit 130 in less than 11.62. Seems to be the general concensus around here that a Shelby cant be quick, and if a Shelby wins a race it is because the other racer is slow. Ill be sure to post up some vids when I run some newer bikes. We will stretch it out to 150-160 maybe.

Edit: I need to stop logging in as soon as I get out of bed in the mornings before my eyes open.. the 130 was 40-130 not 60-130.. and I think the bike was doing it faster than the 11secs.. I know I got there quicker, because in the video, the first race, I told my brother to stop recording, said 'Aight' after the race was already over and I was coasting down and noticed he was still recording.

When people are saying the bike is "slow"..a 120mph trapping vehicle is still quick either way. But I figured I would post the vid up because it was fun to do it. I am wondering when I beat a newer 600, if the replies will say "sucky rider", "no way", "something wrong with his bike", "that bike was a slow one"... its all in fun to me, so I could care less, win or lose.

No one is saying it cant be fast. But at 125mph trap speeds... you will have your hands full with any model R 600 after 2003 with a legit rider on it. ESPECIALLY from a 40 roll. I used to think 600s were slow too. Until i met some good riders.

And for comparison purposes. Beans runs 7 seconds faster on his 05 GSXR750 from 60-130 then that bike.

I also expect to have similar trap speeds to you in the 1/4... but i have no intention of beating 600s with legit riders. PSM (one of the mods in the section) would drag me down the highway with his bone stock 07 gsxr600.

This. If the car and bike trap the same, the car loses by multiple lengths until the aero takes over.

Bikes are slow at the beginning of the 1/4 (assuming stock wheelbase) and the end of the 1/4 compared to a car running the same time. We're faster in the middle, so picking a fight from a 40-50 roll you need to trap a good 5mph higher than the bike to stop the bike from rolling out. Of course, aero takes over eventually but a well ridden 600 doesn't start to fall off until 130ish.

Not faster compared to the standards of today. A 600cc with minor bolt ons and a good rider is a HUGE difference, IIRC ive seen some go 128 MPH stock, BONE stock. This bike is almost 10 mph slower than that. Thats what 30whp is in the bike world though. 80whp is dog ****, my friends stock crank, over size piston/sleeve, ported head, stock cams, bolt ons and PC5 LTR450 makes close to 60whp, just to give you an example of how shitty that is. this is a 47Xcc atv btw.

No, a newer 600 would leave you in the dust.

Im by no means trying to put you down op. You smoked this bike/rider no doubt. Just saying you will be shocked at the difference a great rider on a newer 600 would make.

I see what you are saying. I know what the newer 600s are capable of..like I said I owned one for 3 years until my left ankle was crushed when someone rearended me. I think I can win.. maybe..but its just opinion until I race one. I dont really like to bench race..so I will post a vid when it happens. Win or lose. Btw friend of mine has a Hayabusa. We are going to play one day just to see how bad he beats me now..and how well I do when the built bottom end and 4.0 whipple goes on.

I am located near Charlotte, nc. And I see what you are trying to say. Ill just not benchrace and try to set a real one up and video it.

Its all good. I hope to use my gopro quite a bit when I get it. Should have vids aplenty this warm season.

Yeah. We will have to see. All I know is my 2006 gsxr600 got beat by my brothers 04 gto on 100shot. And I would walk his gto. Thats really the only comparison I can go by right now. So no more predictions from me until I actually do it.

11secs 60-130, damn that's slow lol. What kind of traps do the say 09+ 600s do? Cuz I thought the prior 600s ones are like mid 120 bikes unless your PSM and are a beast

Good kill, but like stated a 96 ZX6 honestly doesn't even count as a sports bike anymore. There are cruisers that will walk them.

You will be lucky to put 75rwhp to the tire on one. The "R" version was around 90rwhp. To compare, my old 07 ZX6R when bone stock put 106 to the tire and weighed almost 50 pounds less.

The last gen 636 will be a totally different race, and the new 636 will take your lunch money.
